That's correct. Grantcoin is based on the Peercoin codebase, which takes a conservative approach to adding these kind of advanced features. We have already been adding more features that aren't in the official code of Peercoin, whenever somebody expresses to us why a particular feature would enable more functionality that we would like to have. So, we'd be happy to hear your thoughts on what benefits our coin would gain from adding IPv6, and we'll consider it. Thanks.

Hi Soleri, here is our Ripple bug report which is being looked into by Ripple Labs staff: https://ripplelabs.atlassian.net/browse/RT-3419

We will delay launch of our markets on Ripple until after we're 100% sure that the bug is resolved and after we discuss with our IT security advisor about setting up our cold/warm/hot wallet infrastructure with best practices. It will probably be another couple of weeks, to be safe.

Meanwhile, we will have markets on two BTC exchanges which are expected to open this Friday, May 15. More info on that will be announced tonight or tomorrow.

The Grantcoin Foundation is pleased to announce that SouthXchange will add a GRT/BTC market starting on Friday, May 15. See their announcement on Twitter here.

SouthXchange is a new exchange based in Argentina, with both a Spanish and English UI. We have discussed with the admin of the exchange about their plans to grow and expand, and he says they plan to add support for fiat currencies soon, starting with the Argentine Peso.

Grantcoin will also be on another BTC exchange soon, and we will post another update here when we know for sure what date that other market will be added.

Yes, because we want Ripple users to have an equal chance to buy GRT at low prices. We don't want to show favoritism to either Bitcoin users or Ripple users.

The Bitcoin/altcoin community and the Ripple community don't seem to interact much. We hope that will change as Ripple Trade continues to evolve and more altcoins presumably will open markets there. Grantcoin is at the forefront of what we hope will be a trend of increasing integration of altcoins with the Ripple platform. The ability to trade directly with fiat currencies is something that most altcoins don't have, but it's something that the average person who isn't already into crypto would demand as a prerequisite for their involvement.

The Grantcoin Foundation has released a revised version of the Grantcoin sales plan (.xlsx spreadsheet) with a detailed breakdown of planned sales on three exchanges and 13 currency trading pairs. Phase One of the plan calls for 200 million GRT, or 2% of the total Grantcoin currency reserve, to be sold on exchanges to raise a goal of $110,000. This funding will enable the Foundation to pay for important expenses for software development, marketing, and professional management of the project in its crucial first year.

Starting on May 15, Grantcoin will be listed for trading on Bittrex, a major U.S.-based Bitcoin/altcoin exchange. On the same day, a GRT/BTC market will also open on SouthXchange, a new exchange based in Argentina, which offers a user interface in both Spanish and English.

The Grantcoin Foundation also plans to open over a dozen markets on Ripple Trade in the near future. Ripple enables direct trading between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies such as the U.S. Dollar, the Euro, and more. We have been consulting with Ripple Labs staff and other developers with expert knowledge of the Ripple platform to prepare for launch of our Ripple markets according to the highest standards of security and best practices. We expect to open these markets by the end of May.

Actually, our sales plan doesn't call for any dumping. The sales will be put on each of the markets at specific prices which are shown in the spreadsheet, and the sell orders will sit there until somebody buys them.
