Is there any way for the end user to have a read only wallet, say like in an blockchain.info format but read only so that they can verify that the balance is still there. I think this would add a layer of trust. What do you think?

your looking for multi-sigs, and I don't think that has been implemented yet.

Can you point out a time when I was not legal with any of my ventures? Cause I am always legal.

Ok then, good luck with your venture. Will use your service when I have the need.

PS: I can probably advertise you on Rugatu, but I guess you still think they are scammers, dunno

Actually this service is just something I feel like giving back to the community that have made me what I am today, and I will not be taking your business cause of your past ventures, which I think are morality wrong to some degree so thank you.

Feel free, I would not put even 1 satoshi in your escrow before seeing proper feedback. Being the web developer that you are, I saw you have invested some great time and effort making that google spreadsheet for your service.

And cut me some slack with your morals, because we're in the same boat dude, let's not ruin it. Good luck with your business.

I just said I don't want your business why you getting all mad. There are hundred other people doing the same thing and take your money no problems.

Google spreadsheets work for this, it is more of a good tool to organize this in, this has nothing to do with my web development, at least I don't take other people's work and re propose it to make money.

And what boat is that? Cause I am on land pretty sure of it.

You do know a lot of work I have done on the forum has been NDA, and some has been used for just internal stuff, that really can't be talked about. So yea let me just show those off, and get sued.

*SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT*

Gweedo if you want to advertise your service you can do so here: bitcoinadsmart.com

 Cool Cool

But seriously there is no way to have bitcoind post the balance to a webpage that is associated to the escrow account. I mean obviously it could be a fake number. Are you going to have an interface for users to deposit and withdraw and for parties in waiting to see visibly that the funds are in escrow?

I am not using bitcoind for this, I using another client, and a different wallet, then my personal one. I will be sending an address to the party that is paying, once he has paid I will notify the other party that he has paid, and give them the address, so they can check for themselves that they have paid. Then I will ask the person that is suppose to pay the fee to pay it, before the transaction. Once the transaction of shipping goods, services, etc has taken place. I will release the payment to the proper party. Everyone will be then happy!

At anytime the users can check either blockchain.info or blockexplorer.com to see the account and make sure the payment is still there.

Nice, now we're talking  Smiley

About the other guy, we all could avoid this kind of situations if the bounty coins are put into escrow in the first place, on a specialized platform like Rugatu. You know what I am talking about, the content creators are assured to get paid even if the original bounty creator backs out. But this will take time to get into peoples minds, because right now they think escrow is only useful for physical items delivered to them, not for creative content.
