I don't care if they tried or not, there is no scientific proof for god, otherwise scientists who believe in god would use it all the time. Admit you are lying.
You can't believe in God unless you know that God exists, and understand what believing in Him is about. Nobody can force you to understand scientific proof, or make you admit it when you do. Casino Royale - Torture Scene
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEPmn8FHtDAThere is no such thing as scientific proof, there is scientific evidence which is used in hypothesis or theories. There is no theory or hypothesis of god. There is no scientific evidence of god either. Admit you are lying. All you are saying is that there is always possibility, even though there might not be any probability. Its called Quantum Theory. Scientific proof is based on repeatability. If nobody repeats it, it's only the word of the scientist who says he proved it. So far all kinds of people have proven that God exists. They have used what is called their own soul to prove God. But, scientific proof for God is found at the Scientific proof that God exists? thread. See my previous post, above, for proof why you are not telling the truth about this.

"Thinking of God as a hypothesis reduces the infinite divine mystery to a finite scientific cause, and to worship anything finite is idolatrous."

Do they? Maybe they are just disappointed with religion. Think about the conflicts religion made and its millions of casualties. And these religions have no factual basis but what they called faith. The true religion should be humanity and earth. Humanity and Earth should be the only cause worth dying for.

The true religion should be humanity and earth. Humanity and Earth should be the only cause worth dying for.
The complete definition of the word religion, and the way people who supposedly don't have a religion act, shows that there are a whole lot more religious people among the so-called unreligious/non-religious than what we think. They only want to separate themselves from religion. But they do it in such a religious way, that they could be classified, jointly, as a religion of unreligion/non-religion. When you look at the true religious attitude of people who make conflicts in the world, you see that they have a different "religion" than the one they proclaimed. Look at the Crusades, for example. The Crusaders were not following the principles of the New Testament that Jesus, Saint Paul, and others laid down. So, were they Christians, really? What really was their religion? Consider Hitler and his quasi-occultic religious views. But his greatest religious views were Third Reich views. At least that is the way he and his group religiously acted. And they were so religious at what they did, that they almost took over the world... at least in appearance. Twelve to twenty million dead. And what about Stalin? Formally he was a Jew, or at least of Jewish heritage. But the Jews aren't trying to take over the world like this. They are simply trying to live. You can't lump a few fanatical Jewish leaders together with all the simple, humble Jews who live around the world. There are fanatics all over the place, not only among the Jews. Sixty million to 100 million dead... both Jew and Christian. And what about Genghis Khan and his 12 million slaughtered? Yet, he allowed many religions of many kinds to be practiced in his lands that he conquered. His conquering brought a certain kind of stability to many of these lands. He was formally shamanistic, but what was his real religion that caused him to conquer and kill so many? What about faith? Nobody knows for even a second into the future what will happen, for a fact. We all live by faith somewhat, although many of us don't know what we have faith in. Faith is part of life. People really need to rethink what they mean by religion, and how deeply religion "infiltrates" us all. Atheists simply don't know what they are hating if they think that they hate religion.

True, religion does not require a belief in God.

True, religion does not require a belief in God.
Religion always requires a belief in God. Why? Because attempting to belief that God doesn't exist, without the knowledge that He truly doesn't exist, is only setting yourself up as god above God... if He exists. This doesn't mean that religious people can't delude themselves into thinking that they believe that God doesn't exist.

I get it We need a proper definition of God though. Does God mean an all-powerful Being? (omnipotent, eternal, omnipresent, omniscient etc)

Thanks for the advice Let us know when he answers bro :^) God answered through cause and effect. He answered both you and ATMD way back at the time He set things in motion. What was the answer? The answer was that both of you are being given the ability to think and act in the direction of your little piece of free will. Of course, if you change the direction of your free will, God will go back and tweak the universe from the beginning. You will never know, brain-wise, from the resulting C&E activity, that you had ever used your free will in a different way... because, suddenly, you won't have.

BADecker isn't as sensitive to spiritual things as was Jesus. However, BADecker is becoming more sensitive to many spiritual things around him, including some of the thoughts of others at times when such is beneficial. BADecker is too slow at becoming spiritually sensitive. But there is a practical, "hands-on" way that anybody can become spiritually sensitive somewhat like Jesus. Can you guess what it is?
