Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

why are you using linux? what for?

learning linux. but damn thats hard.. been a windows gui guy for 15 years.  any linux tutorials are welcomed. please. thanks
