The topic says it all. Wouldn't it be nice if we can directly upload an avatar using a URL link? Would reduce a lot of work eh?


I noticed that the avatar function requires you to upload an image from your computer, may I ask why we cant upload from a url?

Uploading from URL is more complex and can potentially bring new vulnerabilities.

Yes of course, why people need more complexity? I think the upload from 'our' personal computer is more easier and secure than use an url. However it could be added in the new forum software.
