Just to clear my doubt Please let me know
Is asking for a feedback is wrong??
You answer may be helpful and give me more information about the forum

Edit : I'm here asking to all member who left positive feedback on my account to remove it if it was asked by me from you.
Please don't remove any negative feedback because I think I deserves it.
From now I will make a criteria to judge people and to also judge where to leave negative trust and where positive all who will ask for a feedback will definitely get a negative feedback from me.

It depends. If you did not trade its certainly wrong.

If you did trade the other party might not want to leave a positive rating because the understand they trust system as a trust system and not as a trading feedback system. If you have a rep thread in the corresponding section[1] it would not be asked too much to request a short post there.

I believe reminding a member that a feedback would be appreciated after a smooth trade is reasonable. Pressuring the member to leave a positive feedback is wrong.

I believe OP is referring to exchange (or rather giving away) of goods and services with the intention to bump up own trust.
If it was to judge by your recent threads in games and rounds section, i believe that is what your intentions are.

My personal view is that its fine, as long as the feedback isn't forced, or serves as a condition for goods or services giveaway, as i have seen it done in similar way on other large forums, but
it's possible forum staff will have somewhat different opinion.

If someone asks me to leave them positive feedback, after a trade or if they provided me with a service, I almost never do it.

I wouldnt leave positive trust to someone just because he said or offered free stuff, that doesnt make him a trustable person. If he was holding someones btc like 2 btc and he retruned it then yes i would leave a positive trust feedback but sometimes these ratings are just not accurate.

We don't actually have a trade feedback system; the reputation system that we use on the forum is a trust feedback system.

You are welcome to ask someone for positive trust after a trade however I think it would not be appropriate to expect trust after a trade, especially after a small trade or in cases when zero risk is taken.

Many people who get negative trust complain that I have never traded with them and should remove my negative trust. This is an invalid argument.

 -snip-

True. I left a feedback(actually two) and he is asking about it. I think it is fine. Anyway, I will change it to neutral if I see he isn't doing anything shady.

P.S. If anybody, think the feedback I left is unjust, please PM me or post here about your opinion. Thank you!

you are giving free escrow services its k but you are also covering the fee i think its just to build reputation i think there is a big risk of a big scam from you and you are just building trust here People will easily leave trusted feedback on your account with this.

I didn't ask you to remove it but I suggest you to make the feedback better. Now it causes confusion. Make it like

It's not wrong to ask for feedback but one shouldn't demand it or have an exchange (if I give you feedback, you also need to give me feedback). There are many members who actually do that just to build up trust. One should leave feedback if he/she wishes to and in fact not when asked to leave. It's important to not leave feedback just after 1-2 trades as it hurts the trust system if the user abuses it and scams another member.

You can ask. The trust system can be manipulated so don't put much value on it. If you want to increase your rating set up trades with a default trust member, and then ask escrow from another. You'll receive two default points for only making a trade where nobody needed to trust you.

Its better if you check ahead to see if they give feedback.

I would disagree with this. If one person took on zero risk in a transaction then it would be less appropriate to leave trust feedback while if money was risked then a positive rating is almost certainly appropriate. Even if only one trade was done then it would be appropriate to leave trust if money was risked while this would not be the case if no money was risked.

Anyone specifically trading with someone just for the trust that comes with the trade should not receive positive trust and is highly suspicious in my book.

Even though someone has a successful trade, its neither parties responsibility to leave feedback one the trade occurs. That's at both parties discretion. Trust should only be left when you feel that there is trust between the user. Even though a trade or services did occur, just because one left feedback, does not mean the other has too. This is a personal preference to the user.

I think no, you are free to ask a feedback as long as you have made deal with them and they willing to give you a feedback.
And You are free to give positive feedback to someone who has made deal with you as long as you trust them and that account is not your alt. It's better if you had reference link. The reference link means that the deal is in public.

There is no need for a trade/deal to occur to leave a feedback.

You disagree with the bolded part?

If money was risked or not risked, it wouldn't be good to leave positive feedback IMHO as by leaving trusted feedback one is giving a guarantee that the person is trustworthy of having even a larger trade with more money at risk. Especially in virtual places like the internet, it's more risky as people take advantage of their feedback and I have seen the negatives already when one person scammed me on the second attempt. If a person has been proving to be reputed/trustworthy for quite a long time, then it would be worth and appropriate as well.

I have never even asked the people to give me feedback on this forum even though many have asked me to exchange feedback with them as I don't believe in it.

If you ask me to hold 5 BTC for you for safekeeping for a few weeks then at the end of the transaction it would be appropriate for you to leave a positive feedback for me. However if I were to leave positive feedback for you in that deal then it would be little more then me selling trust which is not something that should be done.

If no money is ever risked on someone then previous trades would show very little about how trustworthy that person is.

By the way its really weird that you are asking about this when you have sent a feedback about someone buying trust with loans a few days ago.

I see you actually edited your feedback sent to that guy, seems like you didnt want to look like a fool after this post

Didn't see that. Pretty sure you are right about his action. He even changed negative trust feedback to positive.
