Current SC's prices are good for renters, but not the hosts.
Simple math tells us that with a 15 TB hdd farm, I'd make 4.5 usd/month by renting all of those disks. That's based on your very own numbers.
It's not even worth the electricity.
Sia will never be a good hosting solution, it's either unprofitable for the renter or the host.
You point out exactly why Sia has an excellent chance of becoming the premier storage provider. Hosts are currently accepting low rates as overall demand is low. One only has to look at the jump in contracts to see the low rates having the expected impact ( https://siastats.info/index.html). When the system matures and we reach an equilibrium of sorts, prices will rise. No person is mandated to accept prices in a free market deal. Any agreed upon deal can be accepted as beneficial to both parties; else, there would be no contract. To the best of my knowledge, Sia is the only game in town that has created a true decentralized free market. Free markets are the most efficient in the world. If the devs stay on this project til maturity, Sia may very well become a game changer. Kudos to the hard working coders. |

I have big expectations regarding this coin, despite it's current price. One day it'll definitely go to the moon! So the best tactic now is just HODL and wait, don't sell it now!

New pool which donates 10% of its profits to the devs. In top of those great news, I add two more: - Minebox started shipping units last week. In a few weeks we should see an increase in network usage and number of hosts - Looks like a small announcement, but it is actually a milestone: The developer @thegreatdb has released siacdn.com, a CDN using the Minio integration to offer storage on the Sia network. It is awesome, because it is the first storage service using Sia where you can pay in FIAT. Its users will not even need to know what Siacoins are to start using the Sia network I want the official Twitter page

Shocked when i opened coinmarketcap and searched siacoin, the price is now below 90 sats is it becauss of holders converting into bitcoin for the upcoming fork? I guess its siacoin buy time if it dipa more.

The cause of all altcoin bleeding is the peolpe greed to gain "free" bitcoingold. But I think the best investment here is to buy altcoins at the deep.
Bitcoingold will crash just after the 15/10 because of the dumping and altcoins will go up again.

This for me. It's not worth selling anymore. With cryptocurrency I made a profit overall so I don't really care what happens to my tiny Siacoin holdings. I believe in the future of Siacoin so worth keeping for me. But be careful guys don't get carried away by people shouting "buy!!" or "dump!!". |

Luckily i sold my Sia coin at the all time high. But Sia coin is now pretty low, its is maybe the time to restock my Sia holdings.
I will wait a little bit longer until Bitcoin gold is released and decide then.

Best move during altcoin bleeding is to catch some cheap and sell when the market will be on increase again. Selling is like making someone favor to take your coins at best advantageous price. I will buy more rather than liquidating at this phase specially.
