Many people have asked about the weird low price on Poloniex already. Is it because of the withdrawel issues at exchanges? As far as I can see, there is no real explanation for it, right?
”Outlier detected” says Coinmarketcap’s market section.

This project is so interesting for me. Many users from Hero and Legendary level take care it. I think spend more time to check and invest.
I miss File ICO and regreted about it.

A good project like Sia coin will gradually replace Dropbox, One Drive in the near future.  Cool. Some services that i think Sia coin can cooperate with is Flickr.

Someone know why the Bittrex SC wallet is under maintenance since days (message "Wallet Offline - Wallet Maintenance") Huh
How it is possible to have this wallet offline and to be the first trading exchange in volume in last 24 hours (source : coinmarketcap) ?

Because you can trade only if sc coin that was in bittrex before the maintenance.
But you can’t withdraw

Thank you for response.
My SCs are in my Bittrex wallet since months...
I verify and yes, I cannot withdraw them, but I can sell them (apparently).
Look bizarre for me...

When restoring wallet using seed, it will overwrite the passwords right? Keep getting message wallet must be unlocked before use

I would try the second option I indicated you: close Sia completely, delete the wallet in the %appdata% folder and once opening Sia again click on "Recover wallet" (the icon with a key). Provide your recovery seed every time a prompt pops up (the custom password is not valid anymore once deleting the wallet)

Is it possible to earn SIA by sharing diskspace to the network?

Of course, follow this guide: https://siawiki.tech/host/using_the_ui_for_hosting

i tried it before on last summer but i did not earn any profit with my 100gb free space. i dont know whats changed now.

That is probably because:

- There is a penalty for offering less than 4TB of storage to the network. Offering only 100GB the penalty is huge, so you get a very low score. With low scores you have very small chances to get file contracts.
- There is a penalty for "young" hosts that vanishes gradually after 6 weeks. The key is being patient.

any reason why wallets are locked on Bittrex ? Just regular maintenance ?

And will the price go down when they unlocked them ?
Maybe your account is not verified check it
I would say that the Wallets on Bittrex and on hitbtc and any other exchange that is higher than poloniex because they want to keep anyone from buying on one exchange say poloniex at $.06 and selling it at hitbtc at $.15 into btc and sending it back to poloniex and doing it again. Poloniex wallet is running just fine but it is also trading at the lowest price.

Nope, the disabled wallet is the reason for the price difference and not the other way around

There is no traditional max supply. Block reward slowly tapers off over many years (Reward is 300,000 - block height). You can see emission stats:

Maybe the max is 50 billion. Maybe Sia is burning supply now (don't think so) or maybe will in the future (it is on the road map iirc).
Google more. The answer is out there it is just not simple like every other crypto.

I agree. Price run ups happen when a wallet goes down for maintenance (maybe not all the time, but it has happened a few times that I have seen (e.g., XP on coinexchange recently), but I would think the opposite would happen. Disabling a wallet should cause ppl to sell on the given exchange, not buy.

After the rally, the market needs to cool down. The coin has good potential, but at the moment it will consolidate before forming the next wave of growth. The price moves in the ascending channel and will bounce off its edges.

agree that decentralizing is the best way of the independence. I can give an example where I  am participating now:  LuckyToken is a decentralized lottery, the main advantage of which is the absolute transparency of all processes taking place on the platform and the complete and utter impossibility of fraud.

I know that wallet goes down for maintenance because it allows for exchange to pump coin easily with less funds. Without risk that can come some big holders and sell all their token.

That's what I meant to say. They would buy on poloniex and try and sell on bitttrex but with bittrex keeping there wallet locked down it keeps from that happening.
