The head of the classic ankh matches the pear shaped gem perfectly. Each arm of the ankh has a raised center plus tapers towards the heart of the design for much added character. The sharp design is style #141 in my online selection catalog and features a dangle bail ornate with a raised center and classic lines. The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character and is also called the key of life.
The feature gem is a pear shaped grape purple Amethyst with moderate clarity that was naturally mined in SE Asia. This handsome stone has a hardness of 7 and measures 11 x 7 and weighs 1.81 carat.
Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
The height of this well built pendant is about 44 mm, the bail will accommodate your chain or cord up to about a 3.25 mm and the weight is about 5.6 grams.

https://youtu.be/jTT_XQfcQF0Here is a truly handmade Sterling silver designer ring with the gem flanked by Celtic knot ajoure work in style #328 of my online selection catalog. Celtic knots are symbols of infinity since they never end. Ajoure is the art of sawing away from a solid piece rather than adding and soldering in wire for ornamentation such as filigree. Since ajoure uses less solder than filigree it will naturally stay brighter and be a purer metal. This handsome gem is encased by a full bezel that ensures a solid mounting. The Celtic knot accents that flank the stone mesh very nicely with the cut of the stone. The band is heavily built comfort style with a mild taper.
The feature gem is a Blue Sapphire, a 11.0 x 4.6 x 2.5 mm faceted marquise that weighs 1.06 carat with traditional heat only. This is a naturally mined gem from Africa and is a nice medium blue color. The clarity is SI1, slight to moderate natural inclusions and color zoning.
The weight of this well built, handcrafted ring is about 7.6 grams.

https://youtu.be/znXvJU7km78Here is a truly classic hexagonal star design incorporated into a stunning gemstone pendant. This is hand hammered Sterling silver crafted into my design # 469 of the online style selection catalog. Each gemstone was custom cut specifically for this design as they must be very precisely matched to each other because gems are each hammer set into the main frame of the star, no bezel baskets were used thus keeping the look more clean and sharp. These are secure mounts that leave most of the gem on display. The star and the circle around it are sawed from a single piece, ajoure work rather than soldering. Ajoure is more laborious yet creates a piece that will stay bright longer since there is less pieces and less solder. The base ring on the back is separated from the main frame with post to allow your chain, up to about a 3.75 mm, to be threaded right through the design. The outside diameter of this circular pendant is about 31.5 mm or 1.25 inches. This simplistic yet well thought out design forms spaces to allow light entrance into all the gems from both the sides and the back.
The feature gem is a sparkling lab created Blue Spinel in a bright sky blue color and very easily eye clean clarity. This handsome stone has a hardness of 8 and nearly the same chemical composition as naturally mined Spinel. This one was hand precision faceted and measures 11 x 11 x 6.5 and weighs 6.68 carat. The star point gems are natural Rhodolite Garnets, a dark raspberry red purple color and have had no treatment. These trillions are hand precision faceted 5.8 mm with mixed clarity, mostly eye clean and some are just slightly included with a combined weight of about 3 carat.
Garnet is the birthstone for January.

A prized and ancient design of Thailand named "The Flower of the Angels" was designed for royalty in the kingdom many hundreds of years ago. Modeled after a flowering vine that grows in the canopy of the rain forest here that was reserved for special occasions when the lovely flower was picked and presented to the Queen. The one to pick it had to be a skilled tree climber so it was rare to see one of these flowers when fresh. It now is even more rare to see this artful design as a great many modern smiths are no longer taught this historical style due to the high level of skill required. As a foreigner to Thailand I am honored to have been taught to create this style of ring which has been exclusive to Thais for hundreds of years. The solitary gemstone is securely mounted in a multiple sawed prong, intricately created and highly decorated basket with hand engraved flowers on flanking plates over a split, comfort fit band. A design worthy of show.
This dazzling bi-color gemstone is an Oregon Sunstone with a minty green base color blended with touches of a peachy copper color and VS eye clean clarity. This is a natural gem with no treatment from the family operated Misha 2 2 mine. It weighs 2.41 carat and is an expertly executed hand faceted oval cut measuring 10.1 x 8.0 x 5.5 mm with a great polish and a lot of sparkle.
The weight of this fabulous ring is about 6.7 grams.

This stunning gem has a great sparkle with bright Windex blue fire in the light. It is an 8.8 x 7.9 x 6.6 mm oval cut that weighs 4.46 carat. This hand faceted gem is an eye clean VS clarity gemstone. Zircon has a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on Moh's scale.

This style of book mark is very efficient at serving its' purpose as it not only solidly and positively marks the page in the book with a thin bar of silver but also marks the book with an array of gorgeous gemstones once it is placed back on the shelf.
This unique design features a full bezel on the main gemstone for maximum durability and a full halo of elegantly bead set accents following the shape of the feature stone. A slotted base on the ornate head allows additional light to enter the gemstones even while the marker is in place.
