lots of FUD from mr Revere. Ive been trading on cryptsy for some months now and they fix their problems pretty fast. im sure there will be an official statement but they had a hardware malfunction today and it took some hours to get that fixed. after that they had to do audits on all accounts and handle the individual problems. almost everything is back to normal now except the withdrawals and deposits. look at things from the brightside, new UI is coming on cryptsy along with some server upgrades etc. things can only get better.

"Things can ONLY get BETTER?" That is without a doubt the stupidest thing I have read today. Shill harder, bro.

so much thud going around when people see upgrades being made post total opposite and smack talk saying sites down it been hacked.

The only thing I see funny is 5 deposits made to my account for TRC on the 14th that I never deposited on account before and where only just recently done. I  don't have much in Cryptsy anyway so if it goes tits up am not at a loss. Maybe the deposits where missing or in loom or come from some old accounts or mining sites but to be honest am not really bothered as its little satoshis for me on it.

Upgrades that require service interruption are announced before they occur. This event was not, and yet Cryptsy announced after the exchange went haywire that it was an upgrade. Either they are lying about it being an upgrade, or they are incompetent idiots who would not warn customers before stopping service. Believe what you like.

We were not hacked. We had a redis server go put on us and was returning some bad data. We added some additional checks to make sure that wont happen again. As well as replacing the server. Still working on cleaning some things up. But there was no hack and customers funds are safe.

I shut down all of our wallets until the issue was resolved

With all the backlash cryptsy has received from us lately I'd understand why they wouldn't want to announce site-wide maintenance prior to it happening. How would that stop people like you spreading fud? For an exchange that has never been reportedly hacked, I'd say that Cryptsy is on a pretty good standing.

This issue seems to have been resolved. People can believe what they like.  Thread locked.
