Hi
is Bitcoinplus have any relation with BTCPLUS?
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22234.0.html
thanks

I dont have a clue what this BTCPLUS is apart from it being some made up asset on bitshares.AFAIK it has NOTHING to do with XBC/BitcoinPlus

https://cryptofresh.com/a/BTCPLUS

Nothing to do with us at all. Same as the .com for www.bitcoinplus .Not ours. Not ideal but also not always a bad thing. People have more reason to google bitcoinplus and as long as we are top 3 in the search engines we get free traffic to our website.

I'll add a blog post tonight making the position clear what domains are ours etc.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Egghead123...Those are all brilliant ideas. Looking forward to seeing them all implemented into XBC.

We would need to look at how this can be applied with ABE explorer first to see if its doable

Here is a good rundown on how to run your own Electrum server

Is XBC the real Bitcoin? That's the question.

The greatest problem for many is the dispersal where there seems to be not enough wallets online showing a not large community presence.Of course a full time developer is needed one who has great ideas that can be rewarded from the staking wallet as the price increrases to incentivise his/their work but with some good mobile version that can have the messaging and all other gadgets that geeks and mainstream people can practically use and a more decentralised vision xbc can become very valuable but without the sufficient volume and support on exchange it will not be on coinpayments etc.Shapeshift is vital or other useful services to attract people to use it practically.

XBC can be overhauled anytime in anyway that the community wants budget allowing of course.Any developer is welcome make a pull request or propose any idea they want here or on the forum etc.

Its not biggest issue as developers can be hired by community for each part but this is very unusual no core dev but maybe more democratic so could be better however there are no community members who speak different languages to run thread in their language and coin dispersal is not best either and some other things like no listing on coinpayments for merchants to use or shapeshift etc.

So XBC needs a developer? Is that the biggest issue?

No. We have an agreement in place with Mammix who coded the current wallet for us that he has first refusal for all future work. You could say he is a freelance dev. Mammix is a coder based in the UK. He has his own coin - Boost Coin. Mammix looks after one of the TOR nodes. I look after the other.

It is up to the community to decide on the direction of the coin. Be it a mobile wallet or whatever. Specific ideas and suggestions should be placed on the dedicated forum accessed from the website - http://www.bitcoinplus.org/ so that ideas do not get lost in this thread.

If the community does not come forward with ideas we will simply tick along until such a time an opportunity/idea presents itself.

New Technology is changing very quickly and most top coins now have an actual purpose and not just a digital monetary token. Yes XBC has anonymous messaging. But without the killer app using the technology it is lost amongst all the other coins with anonymous messaging.

There will be a host of similar coins such as us with relatively small market capital all in the same boat so going forward some sort of collaboration with similar coins may be an idea.

Update on mobile wallet. We have had quotes for around 1 BTC in total. But it would not be a staking wallet and there would be on going server costs. At the moment you can use https://cointopay.com/ which is a Payment Service that has XBC. You can use this a mobile wallet.
