Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Amazing work being done spreading awareness. Price remains quiet but as a holder I love this general information wide sowing of the seeds that you've organized. Your work is really adding a unique angle and value to this coin that isn't present in other options. Combined with the fundamental value and technical setup that is ongoing I am more excited about XBC every day.

@ realbigs21024

Go and check the settings of your Windows firewall.
You need to open port 8884, either entirely or at least for the wallet application .exe-file!
Also check your internet router's firewall status, you may also have to enable port 8884 on your router,
(if port passthrough over Universal Plug'N'Play doesn't work)
and possibly even set a port-forwarding rule using port 8884 in your router and map all those packets
incoming at this port to the internal IP address of your computer in your home network.
If you need to select a protocol, i am not sure whether to use TCP or UDP, you can enable both or
test it out, which one it is.
You can also priorize this traffic in your router by marking it as a real-time application or using QoS
(quality of service) rules.

If it doesn't work then either, your internet provider may filter or censor certain traffic, i hope that's not the case.
Please report back if your wallet was able to establish connections to the bitcoinplus network.

Good to see you on here Kindhearted !

I will just add that as the XBC Wallet uses the TOR network it can take some time to get connections. Current node list can also be found
found on both blockexplorers. Easiest one is https://www.blockexperts.com/xbc#  Go to Peers and then Node List

I think maybe I should pick up a few while it is still cheap. I remember I had bought this in the early days when there was an ICO, so maybe should buy some now and hold again for the longer term.  Smiley

not getting any active connections in wallet and i copy and paste all the nodes in the beginning and made a conf file

You dont need to make any .conf file.The client is automated for this process.It is the TOR which is automatically finding peers that is slowing down things and maybe some small conflicts with wallet already loaded.Sometimes you can just remove wallet.dat from the executables"roaming>appdata>bitcoinplus"(just drag it onto your desktop)and restart the wallet and if it connects then go to the executable file and delete the wallet.dat that was generated during restart and drop back in the original one from your desktop and it usually continues as normal from there but import your private key for ALL addresses you have used in this wallet first and write this down or copy/paste to notepad or whatever in case you delete anything you should not by mistake(Do not share your private key with anyone) .Tor is making the starting process longer especially if you have a slow connection.We would scrap TOR if it was downvoted because it is more of a pain than it is worth IMO.Advice for private key etc is on the OP.

I opened port 8884 and that seems to have allowed the wallet to begin synching.  Now only 260,000 + blocks to go, lol

With all eyes on Bitcoin reaching 1200$ now, it's quite a favorable circumstance for people to find out about XBC.I read a few pages back that there's some kind of official press release on 28 feb  Tongue

@BitcoinPlusBus

@bitcoinplusmagic
Thanks for the welcome

@rushmybitcoin
Great job, XBC is now all over the media

People just need a little time to digest info and have a chance to react on it,
especially those who have not much experience in Bitcoin or have no Polo account yet.
Soaring Bitcoin makes it a tough market for XBC, but in the end it will make not much of
a difference, because XBC is a freakin ROCKET TO THE MOON !!!!

I just LOVE the insane price sensitivity of XBC and how it fluctuates up/down in the range
of $.10 - $.50 with the SLIGHTEST influx of fresh capital.
Now imagine how fast price is gonna increase with a constant flow of incoming demand,
and little to no resistance on the sellers side!
It's gonna go THROUGH THE ROOF AND LEAVE EARTH'S ORBIT !! LOL

Here is where we could launch our next media offensive:

http://www.ereleases.com/

My research points to them having a very good reputation, and they seem to have superb
connections to media and finance, including Bloomberg, National Journal, Wall Street Journal
and CNN Money !!
They also have access to a 100,000 journalists, editors, news publishers and bloggers.
We need to find out if their prices are affordable, but they seem to offer a HUGE First-Time
customer DISCOUNT !

Once we reach $1million market-cap, XBC will draw a lot of attention from the crypto sphere,
and probably turn into a self-runner fast. Until then, we just need to kick the can down the road...

@rushmybitcoin

In principle i agree with you, that XBC should be traded on more exchanges and could benefit from such exposure.
But do you think, there is even enough liquidity available for market-making purposes on multiple exchanges at the time being?
Cryptopia and Coinexchange have themselves little to no liquidity, as they don't own many XBC tokens (if any at all),
only customer BID's and ASK's and you see how thin their markets are.

I don't think it is a bad idea per se, getting listed on multiple exchanges, but we should also not forget about the scarcity
of the coin right now. Having a main exchange like Polo with a "concentrated" market could prove to be an advantage, as long
as the supply is still so tiny and below 150,000 - 200,000 tokens.

I think we should be careful about whether to expand to other exchanges right now,
because in a worst case, it could prove to do us more harm than any good.
