Hello  ,

I need help of BitcoinPlus community because I found an old wallet of 2014 on which there must be about 60 XBC,
have you a solution to recover them on the new wallet?

I know it's late but Maybe someone has a solution to help me.

thank you in advance.

Ah, maybe you could share your old client application and start running an alternative fork....SMILE....Maybe, there are others who can also benefit from the old chain....I don't know how much of the old chain was burnt in the exchange because I'm still new to this project but that's one idea....I apologize if it may be obtuse, but it's something.

https://bitcoinplus.org/history.php

Thanks for the link....To save me some time searching, is there a link to the specifications of the swap?  Was there a swap?  A fork?  If there was just a fork instead of a "swap and burn," couldn't these guys who have the older clients containing coins just update their client to access their coins?

The current BitcoinPlus coin has been running since May 2015. It is effectively a NEW coin. The current team arranged it so that coins on the old chain (old XBC) could be swapped on a 1 to 1 basis at Poloniex. All old coins were sent into Poloniex accounts. Any record that exists is held with Poloniex. The issue is now 2 years later there is no way of validating any coins on the old chain. Current XBC team do not hold a record of who held XBC in May 2015 or who has swapped and who hasn't swapped. The cut off was when Poloinex distributed the coins as they kindly handled everything for the XBC Team at the time.

Now that XBC has some value again it will attract people to come out of the woodwork claiming to have old coins without providing any proof and no way of providing proof without a working blockchain. Sadly some will be telling the truth and some not.

Yes, I can see how that would happen.  I guess my question is: was their a fork or just a swap?  If there was a fork then the old coins would still be in the new chain and the old chain would still contain the old coins....right?  Those that have the old clients can just connect their nodes and make what they can of the alternative chain.  However, if it was a swap to a totally new chain and they missed the announcement....that's their bad because there is no obligation to honor a swap---they still have what they paid for and they can do what they can to support their own chain <---it would be nice to know what happened to the swapped  coins (burnt, dormant wallets...etc) so that an accurate market capitalization can be attained if the old chain is resurrected, right?

We are on a completely new chain. The old original chain wasnt forked and a fulll node and old client was even left running for almost a year by a team member in case any late stragglers arrived so their coins could be verified as long as the old chain was alive but that is finished now.

Yah...That makes sense.  What did they do with the swapped coins....burn them?

I've been running my client for a few days now and I'm liking it!  It's running sm-o-o-o-th....numbers all checking out and looking sweet!  Getting ready to put in another buy order....hope I didn't miss a bargain though--price just jumped up by 20% as I was posting!

I hope XBC's scarcity at the time being, won't become a serious issue for us, as the relatively low price allows for too many coins to concentrate in too few hands.
A higher price of XBC would make the low liquidity available seem less of a problem, also it would encourage more sellers to come forward willing to sell.

The more i look what BTC38 exchange has done for Zcoin (XZC), especially in the last couple days, the more convinced i am, that BTC38 would completely turn around things for good.
Maybe more than we could even imagine, considering that BTC38 alone has increased XZC price a 20fold over the course of past 3months (from $0.30 to $6.00 yesterday), albeit XZC
has currently about 17 times the supply size of XBC. Now imagine what a comparable lift in price would do to XBC, taking into consideration a 17times smaller supply size?
20 times 17 = 340times

You can check out here for yourselves:

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcoin/#markets

The BTC38 daily volume for Zcoin (XZC) is as much as 12 times (!!) higher than their daily Bittrex volume.
The interesting thing to note here is, that this literally INSANE volume is incoming in the CNY (fiat) Yuan market, but NOT SO in their btc-denominated market.
So what we would really need is a tradeable XBC/CNY fiat market at BTC38 exchange. (not necessarily a XBC/BTC market)
Have no doubt anymore, that BTC38 exchange would bring XBC price to $15 at the very least, and in a relatively short amount of time, but most likely way beyond $15 after a couple of
months trading there.

BTER exchange has much, much lower volume for most altcoins listed there.
Even Bittrex volume cannot compare (and by far) with the daily volume that BTC38 has for many altcoins.

BTC38 might prove to be the very best thing EVER (or since a while) to occur to XBC, if we could somehow manage to get listed there.
I just think, the low liquidity and scarcity XBC is struggling with at such a low price, will permit us to only add 1 additional major exchange, and maybe we should not hurry and go for the first
and easiest exchange candidate, but rather strive for BTC38 even if it takes longer or has a higher cost, but ultimately it may be worth every single penny spend and much much more.

I'm not sure if BTC38 is engaging itself in market-making the way Poloniex clearly does (by owning and offering XBC tokens and also bidding bitcoins), because if not, there could be little XBC
offerings even if XBC would get listed at BTC38. (similar to CoinExchange or Cryptopia)
In such a case we would need our own mechanism to buy tokens at Poloniex, transfering them to BTC38, selling them at BTC38 in exchange for CNY Yuan, using the Yuan to buy bitcoins there
and transfer the bitcoins back to Poloniex to slowly buy more XBC tokens, and doing this over and over again, and for a couple of weeks or even months.

Any thoughts?

All the newly generated bitcoinplus coins were sent to poloniex to be swapped for old coins deposited there. There was a 1:1 swap done there.Anyone who didnt deposit their coins onto poloniex would still have them on the old dead chain.

Money talks so I think we should start making official offers and negotiating with BTC38 to be listed permanently. No time better than the present. And your right. XBC is 2 moves or maybe even 1 move away from exploding.

Can XBC use https://bitsquare.io/ as a decentralised option?

So what's the next phase at https://bitcoinplus.org/roadmap.php, after the press pack?

We will be referring to the voting panel again and looking at whats doable funds permitting of course. We are also looking at some form of mobile wallet application that is a solution for XBC that fits best.We have been testing some standalone applications but had problems/issues with running electrum servers due to XBC parameters however some alternative suggestions have been put forth.

Take the Bitcoin or Litecoin source, make a new coin, with SegWit built-in from the group up and then you have a real bitcoinPLUS.

We wouldnt need to start with a new source afaik just a hardfork.I think Groestlcoin has already activated segwit with a hard fork and it didnt make any difference to their price but correct me if I am wrong.
