I know this must have been asked a dozen times, but is there any reason why XBC is not traded on Bittrex yet?
I think you have a solid coin here that could easily settle for a 50 million market cap.

The old XBC was listed there and then delisted by them apparently from having a lack of trading volume.I dont know if a fee was paid for the initial listing by the old development team who abandoned our community back then.

After we rebuilt XBC we have petitioned them for a few years now and still have no listing there.Countless emails/tweets/support tickets are worthless unless the community becomes more vocal with them. Also their vetting process is obscure regarding the guarantees of a listing after an upfront fee of approx 10k usd is paid meaning any unsuccessful listing attempt would be a costly loss.

We also understand that there has not been a large community effort through social media or other channels looking for XBC to be listed there so a larger presence is required.

Only Bittrex can make a decision in the end but if having a coin rebuilt by community members funding the initial development out of their own pockets and standing by their community for a couple of years while continuously developing the coin with a sustainable long term vision is not good enough then we cant do a whole lot more to impress them.

Most exchanges (not all of them) are more interested in what coins can generate money for them rather than what people make the most honest efforts but of course they are a business and profit is the name of the game.

You will probably see "mooncoin" or "pumpydumpy" coin listed before we are considered again.

Bittrex does not want to certainly not want to add xbc because the volume of trading is very small. And as we know, the exchange receives a percentage of the volume of trading. There are also no news to help develop the coin. I suspect that your team is just small to make the coin public.

In the development of the wallet there are bugs with the scaling of the form of the wallet. If the purse to curtail the text floats on top of each other.

Volume of trading is multiple times more than what it was years back when they first listed it so that doesnt add up.I would imagine its because we havent paid almost 10k for a listing but only they know so we can speculate all we want here but I am getting its a lack of community presence and efforts to make it happen.

There has been plenty of news to develop the coin.We are after already overhauling the codebase a few times and this time more than ever in order to get it in line with bitcoins latest code state. Also there has already been a pretty aggressive marketing campaign so that doesnt add up either.

Team is large enough and capable enough to do what is to be done.We need a larger community not a larger team.

Wallet is working 100%.Where is the issue so I can let the wallet dev know?Is that Russian language?I dont understand Russian myself.BTW there will be more wallet releases in the near future so as its not a security issue I wouldnt be the slightest bit concerned. You do realise the whole codebase is having its biggest overhaul in years.

Yes, the Russian language. I just wanted to say that the problem is in the graphic design of the wallet. Sorry, I just wanted to be useful.

We are working on a system where skins/graphics can be changed at will through the GUI.Do you have graphics in mind or design abilities?

There may be a bounty for some designs that are chosen as skins, graphics etc for the wallet.

BitcoinPlusBus

You paid poloniex 10 thousand dollars to add a coin to the stock exchange?

No Poloniex are the only exchange that have asked for not one cent from us.In fact they have helped us every way possible to remain viable by keeping us listed even when we had very low volume and things were not as positive as they are now.

Bittrex vetting process costs around 10k usd afaik and other exchanges such as livecoin have asked for about 8k usd for a listing. That money is better used to actually develop the coin instead of spending it on a listing only to be delisted and have it lost if volume remains stagnant.Part of the problem lies in ability to provide liquidity in the form of XBC as all larger holders either keep their coins in their wallets or sitting on poloniex.Looking at other exchanges where XBC is listed there seems to be too few XBC available and this is also due to have so few coins in total yet minted.

Bitcoinplus [XBC] is actively rebuilding its codebase to be in line with the latest refactors/BIPs etc etc so future development can be added without having to basically start over each time.We are now making things so they can be upgraded using the least amount of work possible making updates faster and cost effective. We are working on getting segregated witness activated which will make us only the 2nd POS coin after NAV if we can complete the process in time to beat others (POS coins) thinking of doing this.

I'm writing in C ++, I've used Python a long time ago. As far as I know, most GUIs are written in Python.

With a POS coin it seem like a pretty good idea to have it listed (if I were an exchange). Most folk leave their coins on there for a while at least so the exchange is going to benefit from the interest alone.

The wallet could certainly look a bit more pleasing to the eye.

I'm tied up for a few days but this is something I can certainly put some input in to, especially if there's some other folks that could help if the've got Illustrator / Photoshop skills. I'm afraid I lack the C++ to actually take the design and make it a reality.

Can we maybe create a thread where we can list our skills / time etc so people interested in helping create a team to work on XBC can easily say what they have to offer?

If you want to do that then we need to make sure that people create designs that are large so we can scale and crop down..Maybe take the aspect ratio from the current client.I looked through the source and settings but couldn't find anything but I think 16:9 is the most common ratio for desktop client. We probably should wait for the segwit update to be finished and the next major wallet update before looking at this because skins are usually specific to each control (text box, button, datagrid etc).I am already looking at the ability for interchangable wallpapers, backgrounds for the client.Hopefully this could be set in Qt with an option to change the background in Options. Qt has PNG, JPEG and GIF support. We can get around to this at a later stage as its not a priority but having some designs kept aside that can be used as defaults made available for selection by users after they load a new client when that function is developed may be a good idea.

Bitcoin Plus is doing perfectly fine. XBC has been performing very well in the past few months, with a 10X increase in value, more than Bitcoin itself. It's hard to ask for more with such an achievement in a very short amount of time. While it would be nice to see it listed on new exchanges in the near future, that is not a necessity.  I agree it would be foolish to pay large amounts for new listings. Money is better invested in technology development.  When the fundamentals get better and stronger (as it is the case right now with XBC development), it naturally attracts investors. XBC doesn't need Bittrex. Let's change that state of mind. If anything, it is Bittrex (or any other exchange) that does need XBC.

Coinexchange and Cryptopia are good markets for XBC, even if volume is low at this time, it will slowly increase with time, as more and more new users get into the cryptosphere.

Another point I want to bring is that these centralized exchanges are not necessarily the future.  Right now there are ongoing developments to bring new forms of decentralized exchanges where users keep control of their funds without having to rely/trust a third party.  Decentralized, anonymous, trustless exchanges are the future, in line with the vision of Satoshi.  I suggest that XBC can look into that direction as well to be a part of these new developments/opportunities.  It will not require any permission or special demand for coins to be tradable on these new decentralized platforms.

I have had some back and forth with the developers of NVO exchange who are building what is rumoured to be a major decentralized exchange project when built will allow coins to load their own wallets onto their platform. The feedback has been very positive and we look forward to their development becoming a reality in the near future.
