When sending coins why can I not choose what address to send from instead of having it from same address all the time?

By default the feature is not enabled, so you will have to go to Settings / Options / Display and enable the coin control feature to be displayed. After that when you go to the Send coins panel of your coin wallet you will see a button to call the Coin Control feature.

The coin control feature allows you to control how you spend the coins in your wallet when sending a transaction. You can choose what addresses will be the ones sending the coins and which of the coins you have received will be used.

With this feature you can do things like combine multiple transactions and the coins from them that you have received in a single large sum of coins available to one of you wallet addresses. To do that you can just select which coins and the address you want them sent to and use on of your own wallet addresses, so you will actually be sending yourself the coins. Sending yourself coins would require you to pay a network transaction fee, but by consolidating multiple small amounts of coins into single ones you can actually reduce on further transaction costs.

Probably Bitcoin price doubled so many alts have been hammered while bag holders dump their coins to maximise their BTC profits.

Hoping there's a bit of a bounce back in price here... Either that or it's a good chance to buy some more Smiley

Sorry you feel that way and I have bought some XBC recently myself at around .03 so understand the frustration but the screenshot you sent shows you made no loss when you calculate the price bitcoin was at and the time you bought at.As far as I can see you have broke even dollar wise but if you had sold them about 2 weeks ago you would have doubled.

I cant say whether the price will go up,down or sideways because I have probably less knowledge of trading than you have but I agree liquidity, buy support is lacking but it would be impossible for it to go to one cent and if it ever returned to the where it started I would personally buy back all the XBC I sold for nothing in the first place.

There are also bag holders who are dumping more than what can be absorbed.

We are still working on Segwit/Csv and I dont think a coin with currently only 100k coins mined so far with segwit activated is going to 1 cent anyway but thats just my personal opinion.

These are just some parts of the back and forth regards progress.Wallet dev will be on holidays on the 26th but hopefully when he is back other coins off testnet that we are looking at for reference will give us the best ideas on implementation.

Quote
XBC runs autoreconf and runs configure in Windows Ubuntu Bash without error.

Quote
Dash went through the same process that we are taking XBC through so it can act as a reference. We will aim for BIP65/66 first bringing us up to block v4, BIP9 will get rid of those old block version numbers and replace them with version bits, the reason for this is so that more than one soft fork can be handled at the same time. Most days crawling through and learning the new code, you've got to keep in mind a dozen connected things at a time.

Quote
libbitcoin.a compiles, many more changes are required to get bitcoinplusd to compile, I'll have to work on that afterwards. Bitcoin made a lot of changes moving to autotools. Separate makefile would work but this defeats the purpose. Got to stitch it into Qt next.

I would add that given XBC is a POS coin people do buy and hold. That's one of the advantages of it.

This could very well be why there's little volume through Poloniex. Personally if the price is down I'd be more thinking about investing than worrying. You'll get more chance of your coins staking.

If I had some spare BTC I'd be buying up some XBC now.

Lots of solid progress this weekend, Qt is almost compiled, gets to the end of the process and wants to a file that's not there, I get a lot of that, files not in Bitcoin Plus that are in Bitcoin and vice versa. Huge amount of customisation for all the additions to the project. Not sure how the mrichtexteditor Qt plugin was linking as the paths did not seem correct, they are working now and mrichtexteditor compiles along with Tor, xxhash and all the other additional source.

Quote
As I go along I end up adding in more updates to accommodate moving to autotools, there was a lot of changes made to Bitcoin to accommodate the move which were missing from Bitcoin Plus, as I hit a problem I have to go back and search Bitcoin's history, this is going to incorporate dozens of commits in this change.
