We were aiming for Segwit and CSV implementation in the first quarter of 2018. (Q1). Once that is released The BitcoinPlus Project will re-assess what is next on the agenda. Payment Channels and Lightning Networks are all likely to be considered.

It does however look like we may run into (Q2) re: Segwit/CSV implementation due to continued testing in a closed envoirnment before release.Although we are at the very late stages of testing now and almost ready to signal we have encountered some issues that have left both Peter and mammix2 baffled.

Thanks for the update.  This is a solid project.

You can look at the following article to get a visual overview of the emerging Web 3.0 landscape.  Bitcoin Plus will be able to play its role in its own way, too, in this decentralized environment.

There are so many different, groundbreaking projects right now that it's almost impossible to keep track of all the rapid developments that are occurring.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Hello! What are the functions of the platform? Can you explain it more detailed?

Hello freepotuleg

BitcoinPlus also known by its ticker - XBC, is an alternative Cryptocurrency with a Modern and Efficient working wallet. XBC has a low start supply with a Maximum Total of 1 Million Coins. BitcoinPlus Coins are generated through Proof of Stake. Little over 100,000 coins are currently in circulation.XBC Wallet has the TOR network Integrated through a Native TOR wallet and onboard P2P encrypted messaging.

https://www.bitcoinplus.org/blog/tor-network-and-xbc

https://www.bitcoinplus.org/blog/setting-your-bitcoinplus-xbc-wallet-messaging

BitcoinPlus has a much shorter average block time. 60 seconds compared to Bitcoins 600 seconds. So straight away BitcoinPlus can already handle 10 times as many transactions every 10 minutes.

The Block size limit in BitcoinPlus is also larger at 1.5MB or 1500000 Bytes.

This is highlighted in the source code - https://github.com/bitcoinplusorg/xbcwalletsource/blob/master/src/main.h#L32

The average Transaction size of BitcoinPlus is very similar to Bitcoin. Using the Bitcoin average of 495 bytes we can work out how many transactions BitcoinPlus can handle every block.

Maximum Block Size / Average Transaction Size = Average Transactions Per Block

1500000 Bytes / 495 Bytes = 3030 Transactions

To calculate how many transactions per second this is simply

Number of Transactions Per Block / Block Time in Seconds

3030 Transactions / 60 Seconds = 50.5 Transactions Per Second

BitcoinPlus is now entirely Proof-ofStake (Pos)

https://www.bitcoinplus.org/blog/proof-stake-explained

Technical Specs

Symbol:XBC

POW Algorithm :POW was switched off at Block 400,000. The algorithm used was X13 and the block reward was set at ZERO. Proof of Work was only used to secure the network where necessary.

POS Stake Inflation :20% Annually. (Calculated per 365 days)

Minimum Stake Age :12 hours (Coins must be in the wallet for 12 hours before being eligible for Staking)

Coin Reward Maturity:110 Blocks (Once newly created coins have reached 110 block confirmations they will become spendable)

Block Time:60 Seconds

Maximum Block Size:1.5MB or 1500000 Bytes

Max Supply :1,000,000 (1 Million) Coins (After which no NEW coins are rewarded. Currently rewards are made up of NEW coins and transaction fees. Once 1,000,000 coins is reached all POS rewards will come from transaction fees only).

The XBC Project are now aiming for Segwit and CSV implementation in the 2nd quarter of 2018. (Q2). Once that is released The BitcoinPlus Project will re-assess what is next on the agenda. Payment Channels and Lightning Networks are all likely to be considered.

How Do I Back Up My Bitcoin Plus - XBC Wallet Using The Private Key

First of all. What is the Private Key ?

Each Bitcoin Plus - XBC address has what is called a private key. The private key is saved in the wallet file. The private keys are mathematically related to the Bitcoin Plus - XBC address generated for the Bitcoin Plus wallet.

To access the coins linked to a XBC address all you need is the private key. It doesn't matter where you are in the world. You simply import this private key and all the coins are imported into your current wallet. So how do we get the Private Key ?

Lets run through an example -

1. Start your XBC wallet.

2. This part only applies if you have previously encrypted your wallet. You can only obtain a Private Key from an Unlocked Wallet.

If it is locked just unlock it but uncheck "For staking only"

3. Go to menu Help > Debug window > tab Console

4. In the Console Command Prompt write dumpprivkey "your-wallet-address"

So if the wallet address was BLo8EAZzVsnGnvrb4i1GnHVv1bSMRemejp you would write :

dumpprivkey BLo8EAZzVsnGnvrb4i1GnHVv1bSMRemejp

Press Enter and the Private Key for that address will be returned.

5. Write down code returned on a few papers / files / whatever and keep it safe.

6. Later if your Hard Drive fails or computer ends up stolen or similar then you can import the private key into a new wallet and restore your lost coins.

*Also back up your wallet.dat file regularly and keep a few copies in different secure places.Remember computers can crash and all your data can become corrupted so saves wallet.dat on usb keys or whatever places you can keep them safe and secure.
