My coins have around 700 confirmations but the wallet says "not staking because you don't have mature coins"
How many confirmations needed to start staking?

POS stake age: 3 - 24 hours

if im not mistaken, this is what you need, not the confirmations

no - not at all ...

the miners are in rebuild mode ( and will be until i get back from a 2day personal trip away from the work ) - with some miners mining other coins ... unless they get rented out of course ( through mintsy ) ...

i really mean 'watch' over the next couple of days ...

this coin offers nothing more than a nice algo to mine and a somewhat decent PoS ( ive never been one that likes PoS - but thats just me ) - so mining it in its infancy is a hard call for us to push the farm towards it ...

we are quite selective with where we mine and what ... really have no interest in a mine n dump scenario ...

but if it looks good after the weekend - then we may mine it for a short period to see what we can make of it ... or baghold - if this turns out to be the same as a lot of other coins out there where the dev promises everything then disappears ... i mean - it is only data in a wallet on a server Wink ...

so will see Smiley ...

but for now - no mining for us with sed ...

hehehe ... thats funny ...

but seriously - the more miners on there means the more blocks - which means the more chance of a percentage of the block ... but also the higher the difficulty ...

i learnt a while ago that when a pool ( or pools ) have a high hashrate - thats the pool that you will have a much better chance of getting coin ...

without hitting blocks - there are no coins minted ... a large miner means MUCH higher chance of hitting a block than other places ( or solo ) which means in the longer mining period - you come out with MORE coins ...

thats how i started out and how we now work with any coin we look at ... works for us Smiley ...

i mean - its not the only strategy that we implement - but its a good start ...

Seems like around 50% of the blocks are PoS.

POS has started with its 50 SED high reward phase. This will continue until block 5000.

POW is still ongoing with reward reduced from 1000 SED initially to 600 SED now.

Still plenty of coins to dig with POW and POS.
