BTC is the father of all altcoins cryptocoins, when BTC accepted world wide, some AltCoin will follow BTC wins.
Honestly some trusted company only want to accept BTC only for their payment. (for now)

FTFY. Litecoin is the father of all altcoins.

--

It is nice to see that the places to spend bitcoin is broadening and we're seeing a lot of people noticing bitcoins. I just hope that these kind of moves would not be limited to just online services but rather physical stores as well.

It has been proven several times now that no altcoin is going to overtake Bitcoin and no altcoin is going to give you as many gains. Sure, you can risk it and you can say "when the halving happens and the price goes up, im sure Litecoin will go up too because it's the silver of crypto". Well that is a nice gamble, but still a big gample. Honestly its best to stay 100% BTC unless feeling lucky.

Great news indeed, always positive to hear that another large company accepts Bitcoin!
But don't forget that Namecheap also accepts Bitcoin, they're also pretty popular.

I'm reading here they've been accepting BTC for 2 days. That's interesting. We'll see in a few months if they have many customers choosing it. As a webmaster, I like that they are several registrars and hosting companies accepting BTC. Somehow, it's now possible to start web-based businesses without spending anything but BTC.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

It is good to hear such news.
Widely accepting bitcoin will lead finally to accept all the altcoins one day.
Now the question is when this day will come?  Smiley

BTC is the father of all altcoins, when BTC accepted world wide, some AltCoin will follow BTC wins.
Honestly some trusted company only want to accept BTC only for their payment. (for now)

As each day passes, I am more and more disappointed by the alts. Even the most innovative ones that were proclaiming themselves as the new Bitcoin 2.0 kings as Bitshares, NXT, Ethereum are doing very bad and are running out of funds. The most amazing thing is that nobody really wants them and their price is tanking further and further.

More and more I come to a conclusion that world ain't ready even for Bitcoin and not for some alts out there that have barely 10,000 users, no matter how innovative they are.

There is no reason to be disappointed. What is happening in the altcoin world is sheer madness! Way too many, and people actually believe they are part of something great. Might as well buy a lottery ticket. Very few alts will follow suit. Maybe 1-3 of the innovative ones will, but only if they can survive a few more massive altcoin-selloffs.

Nice to hear. I read their article states "we are citizens of the Internet". So looks like bitcoin is becoming internet's own money or even id card.

I hope not. I mean we all here want Bitcoin to be acceptable payment for everything and not just for like web hosting service or Netflix.

Great news for bitcoin. But to be not overly optimistic this is not something that move general public.
To be honest Gandi is not that big. We need something extraordinary to bring bitcoin attention to masses!

It's the second registrar i know of that accepts bitcoin.

Just wondering, icann still requires the registrar to know the identity of everybody that registers a domainname, how does Gandi handles this problem? The other registrar i know of, just asks for your personal information and trusts you enough to accept your own input as true...
