Disable Account in the Forum

It's not possible as far as I know . If you don't want to use the forum anymore you simply don't post . There isn't an option to disable accounts or delete them .

Delete all the info in your profile. Then change your password to a bunch of random characters and forget about it.

Accounts can't be deleted. If you want to in effect delete your account, delete your posts, change your email and password to something incredibly secure.

You can't change your name and I guess MtGox Support is playing around with you , you can change if you are Staff member or VIP or Donator as far as I know .

Of course they can Can't they simply connect to the Database (Probably only Theymos can do that) and use a simple query using UID or Username or whatever to get the account deleted , SQL isn't that hard

It is hard when there is no access.  I highly doubt most have database credentials.  That is not something you want to give away lightly.  Especially if were talking an account with access to delete information.  Very very few I think would ever be given access to db.

I don't see this forum adding the delete future.

if you want to leave then forum then you have to stop using it, you can't delete your account

Afaik, only theymos has the power to change a username, but he rarely does it because there is no need. If you really want to change your username  so bad, you can donate 50btc and be a donator, and choose username you desire.

I can understand why someone would want to delete their account and in some cases they may really need to for whatever reason, but if it was allowed it could easily be abused so it will probably cause more problems than its worth.
