Hello guys, thanks for your time and attention.
As you might have guessed, my account was stolen. The password was not too simple but i think i've used it on other sites, so i uderstand it's a fault of mine. I've noticed it when i came back form my holidays and luckly i've found an old post where i state my BTC address. So i've signed a message with that address thus proving the ownership of my account. I've then sent a PM to one admin, theymos with the signed message, the address, the link to the post and the signature.
I understand that the admins of such a forum must be super-busy, flooded with requests and such. But (and belive me, i understand very well that this situation is only my fault) i really need my account back, as soon as possible. It's an old one and i had alot of things going on with it, i need to access my PMs and respond to many people.
The original PM was sent more than a month ago, how long do you think it could take to have my account restored? Is there another way to contact the admins other than PMs? I manage a couple of crypto-communities and i know that directly bothering the admin is almost never welcome but belive me, it's for me an extraordinary situation. I whould gladly have waited more months to get it back but i'm in dire need of regaining control asap.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

1) Post the signed message 2) Quote the original post where the address was first mentioned 3) Display the account name What you currently have are mere words and are not sufficient enough to help you.

Is there any reason besides tagging that account as stolen for me to post those informations in here? I'd prefer not to. And ofc, if you or anyone else could help, i am willing to sent those via PM

I'm not quite sure about your hesitation in the publishing of the account name. The DT members that would tag the account would most likely be active members that would be responsive to messages as soon as you retrieve the account from the snatches of the hacker.

I've then sent a PM to one admin, theymos with the signed message, the address, the link to the post and the signature.
Theymos is very busy. After one month, chances are he has missed your message, or you didn't provide the necessary information. Feel free to email him again, and try Cyrus, the other person who can help.

Thanks, i was hesitant to PM Cyrus too, since bothering both admins is hardly ideal but i'm quite in a hurry after more than a month. The signed message does verify and it contains all the needed info. Will wait a day or two more and send a PM to the other admin, or an email if i can find his. Thank you for your help guys. I really miss my old account :p 1) Post the signed message 2) Quote the original post where the address was first mentioned 3) Display the account name What you currently have are mere words and are not sufficient enough to help you.

You are probably right but i've became a bit paranoid after what happened (they are currently trying to access many of my excange accounts), like, for example, what if the hacker sees that i'm trying to regain access to my account and edits the post with my btc address? It whould be a disaster for me.

It whould be a disaster for me. There are literally archive sites available to save the address. If you use archive.is and save the page then sign a message you have nothing to fear. Also, posts will be dotted to show any edits and one can hover over it to have a tooltip that displays the date and time of edit.

Bump! 2 months have passed and i'm still waiting for my account. I've sent in total 2 PMs (don't like spamming people), one every month. And i'm yet to recive an answer.
Any chance you guys have another way to contact directly the admins?

PM cyrus again but it's not uncommon to not get a response from either of them. If you post the signed message I can ban the account but cannot restore it.

When I joined the bitcoin campaign I also locked my account, I lost the high level. Then I also do not know how to recover the lost and retrieve information. Should your question be good, who can help us.
