I had a really good post written, quite lengthy. I pressed "post" and it came up "other posts have been made while you were writing this". I didn't care and navigaged away assuming my post had gone through. It hadn't and I couldn't nagivate back to it so I lost all the text. Very annoying and I don't care if people posted while I'm typing. I'd take it as a kindness if somebody removed that feature. I can find out if other people have posted after my post has gone through.

Go into your "PROFILE", click "Look and Layout Preferences" and tick "Don't warn on new replies made while posting".

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

I'm not sure if it would of stored it in your drafts  but, it's probably worth a shot. I know it saves it when you preview or post, but not sure of an attempted post.

Wait, every time that text showed up I still can post my text. I think there is a problem with your account preferences Huh
And next time if you want to click the "post" button, you should copy paste your text first Wink

Glad you have it all sorted out.  Smiley

The "new posts have been posted" feature is so you can update your post accordingly if you are having a discussion with someone and they post new information while you are still writing your post.

Any time you "preview" something you are writing, it is saved to drafts, so if you are writing a long post, make a habit of previewing it from time to time.

I just checked my drafts and found those posts which I hadn't previewed earlier but then I saw this message "Drafts are deleted after 7 days." I was trying to search a draft which I had previewed on 16th May but it's already deleted and it was an important code which I lost. Anyways of getting that draft?
