Never get involved with any payment method that can be reserved (Paypal, Skrill,....)

Only deal with people willing to pay cash or via bank.

When it comes to banks, make sure it's a wire or cash deposit. No ach / bank to bank transfers as those can be reversed just as easy. For cash deposits, make sure it's cash and not a check. I guess some banks don't tell if the deposit was made with cash or not and scammers take advantage of that.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

LB is generally considered to be quite safe - just make sure you check their feedback and past history of trades to ensure that there aren't any issues. You might also make sure to know your banks policy regarding Bitcoin exchanges, I do know in America a couple of banks shut down people's account for trading Bitcoin. Also choosing the right payment method is important as xestr pointed out.

When it comes to banks, make sure it's a wire or cash deposit. No ach / bank to bank transfers as those can be reversed just as easy. For cash deposits, make sure it's cash and not a check. I guess some banks don't tell if the deposit was made with cash or not and scammers take advantage of that.

I have been always trading at LB whenever it comes to converting my BTC to fiat...
It has also given me some good level of people with whom I have also be trading without any involvement of LB nowadays, I mean I do direct trades with such people...
