about $100. Unfortunately (for me) it seemed too difficult to get into it, too many barriers to entry.

I first heard about Bitcoin in 2011. At that time, the exchange rates were like 1BTC = $0.10. But unfortunately, I didn't took it seriously. I began collecting coins only in December 2012. But by that time, the exchange rates had climbed to 1BTC = $15. Still, I was a little bit suspicious about it. So I invested only around $200 then.

I think it was about November of 2013 when I heard about it and the price was around 700$ I guess. Then the rocket started and hit 1000$ mark. Aah..those were the days.

Before the Bitcoin bubble in 2013 it was ~100 USD. If I bought some Bitcoin at then, I would have 10x in the Bitcoin bubble in late 2013.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

A friend told me about BTC around 2009-2010 ish. Explained btc in a vague manner, as neither of us really understood it. We looked into mining back in slush's pool, i think that was the name. Played with CPU mining for a bit, got pissed it overheated my computer, closed the miner to play games. Didn't look into BTC again until 2015.

The first time I encountered Bitcoin was way back in 2011 when the media was just starting to take notice of it in the couple of weeks immediately before the price went all crazy. I remember it was in the single digits back then, perhaps $8 or so. Soon afterwards, the price climbed all the way up to $33 before falling back down to where it was before the spike happened.

The next time I found myself interested in Bitcoin was in late 2013. Sad

By then, the price was hovering around the high triple digits (I think it was $900). The November spike had occurred only a month before so there was a lot of optimism and media coverage of it as well as countless threads on 4chan about it and Dogecoin. That made me go back to Google and do some research on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and I eventually ended up re-discovering these forums.

I don't remember the price of bitcoin the first time.I have heard about it. But I remember when I was interested and wanted to buy some, just to try.

Price was over 1000$ and I told myself it was too expensive and too risky. (I did well).

A few weeks ago, I finally decided to buy my firsts bitcoins around 240$.

Hello, people! Grin

Do you remember price of Bitcoin when you heard about BTC at first in your life?

When I heard (not bought) about Bitcoin the price was way above 300$ and was going steadily (well maybe not so steadily) down since then.. But I believe it will recover when the discussions about XT calms down and halving comes Smiley

the first time i heard about bitcoin the price was around $900 and the bitcoin price when i started with it was something around $500

i bought some bitcoin but sold it after a bit of profit, and bought back again at lower price. i did some daytrading but now i am just accumulating.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.
