It's been one wild summer. To lose more then we gained the previous one is very nice:

May 31 2015   47,589,591,154   -2.50%   340,659,563 GH/s
May 17 2015   48,807,487,245   2.44%   349,377,603 GH/s

I remember some crazy projections on difficulty and what it would be at this time. I'm just happy that said the double digits would stay were wrong.

Yeah the s-3 generation was a turning point for high adjustments.

Sales started late June of 2014 and diff slowed also price dropped.

But I for one am happy that nutty jumps are done for now.

Yeah Phil, that's what we all hope. I was just thinking "I sure hope the price of Bitcoin FALLS so that Phillip can buy back in if he sold some...."  Smiley

As for what started the decline, it might have been your sale, or perhaps the BitFury lamp triggered it, or maybe since the NSA can't scoop up as much today, they dropped the price.   Smiley

Thanks again for continuing to run these. Any time you want a break from the -1.11% spot, just let me know.

Maybe it was your 16.5, or maybe it's KNC and their 9000+ that are on the move: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077623.0

You will look like a genius if this does happen and  you are able to buy back in.   I will be impressed Smiley.

Also I will be VERY happy if we get 2 negatives in a row, that would be great mining.

In 2011 difficulty dropped 50% just before btc bottomed.
the equivalent % decrese to 2011 would be ~$72-85, which would be horrible.
At these numbers, i would assume that bitcoin died or has no future.
In fact all these debates about 1mb vs 4-8-20mb makes it look a bit bewildering to almost any outside observer.
In addition-how can something could be supposedly decentralized, when five, two or even a SINGLE person decide(s) one of the most important parameters?

my guess is June 1 = summer power rates in many places.

I see a drop in price and in diff.  price to get close to 200.

Diff to drop more then 5%.

I will buy 20 coins if we get under 180
10 if we go  under 200

my guess is June 1 = summer power rates in many places.

I see a drop in price and in diff.  price to get close to 200.

Diff to drop more then 5%.

I will buy 20 coins if we get under 180
10 if we go  under 200

For a few miners summer really does make it hard.  Some don't realize some places battling the normal heat is one heck of a pain.   I am finally happy with my new area on miners.   So a little over 10 k watts split between 2 areas.   I have spent quite a bit on new fans, and gable fan.  Some cost I did not list was throwing up a security camera on new spot even though it is in garage/work area, also got security alarm updated to include garage/work area.  Those are two things I did not include in ROI as I figure I will use them after aswell.

Bitwisdom looks very nice tonight at:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    47,589,591,154
Estimated Next Difficulty:    46,092,375,333 (-3.15%)
Adjust time:    After 1827 Blocks, About 12.8 days
Hashrate(?):    331,032,561 GH/s

If we get over -2 I will be thrilled during this change.
