Question: What is your basic reasoning for backing Core or XT?
XT: More tx = prevents disaster.
XT: More tx = more adoption.
XT: More tx = natural evolution.
Core: Same tx = prevents/slows centralization.
Core: Same tx = secured from attack/spam.
Core: Same tx = prevents disaster or takeover of original ideology.

I understand that polls do not really mean anything and are not considered representative.
I am curious how members here would vote in this poll, nonetheless.

There are many new threads discussing the pros and cons of each side (Core or XT).
But it is pretty chaotic with name calling and half truths and lies, on both sides.

Please choose which best describes you.
You may only vote for one option.
You may change you vote, if later you change your mind.
Results are shown after you have voted.

Thank you for your time.

Edit: corrections/spelling

Update:
Please vote as follows, if this applies to you:

XT: More tx = Other Devs have ulterior motives.
Please consider your vote then to be: XT: prevent disaster.

Core: Same tx = Gavin has ulterior motives.
Please consider your vote then to be: Core: prevent disaster.

None of the above:  The team opposing Gavin seems to have a huge conflict of interest and may benefit from not raising the size.  Maybe it only needs to go up to 2 mb in the short term, who knows?  But when they oppose a needed change, or appear to, I have to vote against them because they only have their own best interests in mind at the cost of the community.

Actually i agree with him.
What authority are you referring to ? In the end it's the network that's going to decide weather to accept the fork or not, with the 90%, else there will be no change.

You are correct that there are users who are concerned with exactly what you have stated.
I guess I have should have added that option, for both sides.

Please vote as follows, if this applies to you:

XT: More tx = Other Devs have ulterior motives
Please consider your vote then to be: XT: prevent disaster.

Core: Same tx = Gavin has ulterior motives.

Look, 90% of the network is supposed to agree to the change before it activates, regardless of what wallet you are running, so if and when the change happens,
im pretty sure all exchanges worth mentioning will be using it.

Im confident the exchanges themselves will communicate between each other, yes, if that's what u wanted to say, but in the end it doesnt matter how many coins they have,
we all have the same weigh of a vote.
Im currently backing the XT, since i have seen no viable alternative to the change that obviously has to be made sooner or later.

cheers

XT for the long term! I think natural evolution describes best what's going on with this debate. There is always resistance to innovation, it's just how the world works, but we'll be fine Wink

i'll choose xt, and i would say a mandatory update, we must do it in the lack of a better alternative, blockstream isn't a better proposal

choosing core is no sense, it's obvious that we must move on, or adoption will never increase, big merchants like amazon will not join us ever if we stay with 1MB tx/limit

Core, unless the development team of Hearn's XT declares decentralized user verification and node operation as a core priority.

If I wanted to let you, or anyone else, verify my ledger for me - I would use PayPal, or set-up an account at CitiBank.
