The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Oh, I see, it's a mining pool.  You know, I could have sworn I saw this post in "technical support" and I was like "what is the background on this spoondoolie thing"?  Now that the mod has moved your thread to mining support I'm betting you'll have better luck.  Anyway, maybe this bump will help someone find you an answer.

Is this miner located with you (ie on your home network).   If so should be pretty simple.  It is hit/miss on this but if you open http://myminer.io/ it sometimes show's the SP gear on your network and current ip.   If not you can go to your router and look at connected devices and find IP there for the miner.

You will need to sign up to another pool.   Enter pool information on configuration page.  Look at status after to make sure it's working.
