Question: Before PoA, do we need merged mining?
Merged mining is a good idea
We do not need merged mining
We need only PoA
We need both merged mining and PoA

My first 30 day deposits matured today.  I withdrew them and now I have more XDN in my wallet.  The blockchain deposits work very smoothly.  Thanks dNote!

Dear XNDers,
We are happy to announce DigitalName and its DigitalNote GUI support. DigitalName is a cryptocurrency digital name alias system, made for DigitalNote XDN, by XDN-devs, but you can use it with any cryptocurrency. http://digitalname.org

Just a first steps of JSON/DNS cryptocurrency alias API, but you can already use it with DigitalNote GUI wallet.

We have implemented JSON API part of DigitalName and also we made a public XDN addressbook service, based on it: XDN.IO

Instead of using a long and complex cryptocurrency address, now you can add your own DigitalName based on common web URL.

Here is a DigitalName demo JSON API:

xdn.io/digitalname/demo
xdn.io/name/demo

{
  "digitalname1" : [
    {
      "name" : "demo",
      "alias":"xdn.io/name/demo",
      "xdn" : "dddneZ6zEVGG83zNytTRC35c6GpnTMcodWhXRroHScS8chjFBR3y9zdRRGPb79Aq1dJqQ3voZ.....",
      "btc" : "1BitcoinAddressrCNLbtMDqcw6o5GNn4xqX",
      "description" : "Demo xdn.io digitalname example",
      "pgp-key" : "-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----"
    },
  ]
}

Use a ready-made service or just upload a simple .txt file to your web server or hosting to get your own digitalname.

If you have some domain name, lets say, www.mynamedomain.com, you can just add a simple .txt file with JSON as your index page:

{
  "digitalname1" : [
    {
      "name" : "mynamedomain",
      "alias":"mynamedomain.com",
      "xdn" : "dddneZ6zEVGG83zNytTRC35c6GpnTMcodWhXRroHScS8chjFBR3y9zdRRGPb79Aq1dJqQ3voZ.....",
      "btc" : "1BitcoinAddressrCNLbtMDqcw6o5GNn4xqX",
      "description" : "Demo mynamedomain.com digitalname example",
      "pgp-key" : "-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----"
    },
  ]
}

So instead of long "dddneZ6zEVGG83zNytTRC35c6GpnTMcodWhXRroHScS8chjFBR3y9zdRRGPb79Aq1dJqQ3voZ....." XDN address you can receive XDN payments to "mynamedomain.com". In other words mynamedomain.com is your DigitalName and your DigitalNote address now.

As for now we have a JSON API support, but soon we will implement DNS API, so users can use any kind of security, like DNSSEC.

So we made a new cryptocurrency alias API called DigitalName http://digitalname.org
You can use it with any cryptocurrency including Bitcoin.

And new DigitalNote XDN service based on DigitalName API http://xdn.io

So you can use xdn.io/name/youname instead of DigitalNote XDN address

Also we implemented DigitalName support with DigitalName GUI wallet
https://github.com/xdn-project/digitalnotewallet/commit/fd2e349c6b76996f6d2f61cc4caee02358e8d88f

You can download the latest DigitalNote wallet with DigitalName alias support from the official XDN-project website http://digitaknote.org

I must say your stake for selling is pretty big and it is good you wish to share it. Today user is still an early early adopter.

I think it is honourable and totally legit to offer people an open and fair chance to buy also a bigger stake in XDN .

A big stake in-one-go comes often at an upcount price for the convenience , also to the benefit of holding up for the price .
All the bigger XDN stakes in the auctions of the foundation went for 100+sats purchased by private and business bidders .

I consider it more interesting for the sides of XDN , seller & buyer to rather split the whole in three equal lots at the same price .
Splitting might be a winning move for each , more likely it gets sold to people who are willing to invest 50BTC but not 150BTC at once .
By doing so , the likelihood of spreading the DigitalNotes right away between more big holders would also be increased and facilitated .

I even think that it could be a courageous move to offer these lots directly on the preferred exchanges putting them up at the desired price ,
an open offer people will recognise and after a while someone interested will pick up with the same or even more convenience and confidence .
There is a lot of liquidity right now that will spread onto alts soon , for most with more bucks to spread it is a convenience to simply buy a wall .

Yes, you just need to paste DigitalName alias instead of address in Send To or Pay To form.

DigitalName is a project made by XDN devs and can be used with any cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin.
We will promote DigitalName URL aliases and XDN.IO to integrate it in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency wallets.

I've been playing around with the wallet, trying different recovery methods.  I copied the private key off and then moved the wallet data to another location, starting a new wallet by first importing the copied private key.  The wallet is sync'ed again and balances look good.  I can see the evidence of messages I sent, but the message text is blank.

DigitalNote XDN private messages are anonymous and untraceable, moreover, ONLY recipient can decrypt it.

When you send your message your wallet saves it local on your pc,  but if you lost that saved data (in .wallet file) and make .keys backup, you can`t know your messages from blockchain, because ONLY recipient can decrypt it and read it from blockchain.

Also due to untraceable structure, recipient can`t know a sender address. Sender should also send his address if he wants to receive reply.
