Question: Before PoA, do we need merged mining?
Merged mining is a good idea
We do not need merged mining
We need only PoA
We need both merged mining and PoA

aaand merging from here http://digitalnotetalk.org/digitalnote-xdn-crypto-messages-20-upcoming-infochain-and-crypto-channels

DigitalNote XDN crypto messages 2.0. Upcoming infochain and crypto channels.

Very soon (Autumn 2015) we will introduce DigitalNote XDN crypto messages version 2.0.

I will explain it here. Now DigitalNote has an untraceable crypto messages feature.

Encryption process is based on recipient`s private key. Only recipient can decrypt his message with his private key. That makes XDN messages very secure, even the message sender can`t decrypt his message.

Now we use recipient`s private key, so users can`t share their messages, unless they want their XDN to be moved from their wallets wink

With XDN crypto messages 2.0 we will add an ability to encrypt your message with recipient`s tracking key.

By sharing your tracking key you will make all your crypto messages availible for decryption for the entire world, but your XDN will still be safe and secure, because your of your private key.

I will describe two use cases of DigitalNote XDN crypto messages 2.0.

Crypto channels. Like CryptoTwitter.

Imagine, some guy decide to start his crypto channel, based on XDN blockchain. He needs to share his DigitalNote address and tracking key for that address. So he will receive some small income with messages and he can share his channel on some web frontend service.

Infochain. Information sharing.

Imagine, some group of people or one man decide to share some encrypted information in one moment of time. They only need to make their tracking key public and after that the entire world will have an ability to decrypt and read that information.

i hope so. at the moment xdm is only a game. i hope that sometimes xdn will be useful in real life.

I must disagree, XDN is not a game and it is useful in real life, like, you can transfer an encrypted information - instant, worldwide, untraceable, blockchain based.
But yes, we are still on very early steps with both - development and mass adoption. But "be water, my friend".

so, then you don't have any metadata like using gpg encrypted e-mails?
and you don't need  tor and/or a vpn to hide you IP when using e.g. xmpp protocol and OTR? or to send an e-mail if you don't have a provider that hides your IP when sending a message.

if this really works. then why not develop something that works with common apps. that is deeper implemented in the OS.
i don't know if this is possible. i am just an user - not a techie

and i have to work on my mobile device too.
i already have to many communication mediums.

btw: who is your requirement manager?

and translations are required. do you need some help with german?

or am i misunderstanding everything?

We are working on XDN core improvements, a near event is a release of new enterprise level RPC-API, so web and mobile application developers could start with DigitalNote applications. DigitalNote mobile client will be introduced this year, we are working on it, but core is our priority.

About DigitalNote crypto messages:

1. Even the fact of message sending is unknown. Message is a part of encrypted transaction, we can`t know if it contains the message or not.
2. Message is untraceable, we don`t know the route of that message.
3. Message is encrypted with recipient`s private key (tracking key as an option in next XDN messages version). Even the sender can`t decrypt it. He can remember, but not decrypt.
4. Message is stored in blockchain and recipient can decrypt it in any time with his private key.
5. Message is instant, because client check it from TX pool and it takes less than 1s to deliver.

When XDN core improvements and RPC-API will be done (this month) there will be a stage of XDN services integration.
And we will announce "light" mobile clients based on new PRC-API this year.

Soon we will launch DigitalNote XDN locals with all languages translation and local communities interactions, there we will need your help with German translation, thank you.

Qt wallet and CryptoNote... very nice!

It is QT, it is full node, it is open source, it has blockchain banking deposits and encrypted messages inside and some other useful features, like DigitalName support (http://xdn.io http://digitalname.org) and plain text private key import/export, etc

Next week we will try to build DigitalNote QT wallet for Android.
We expect problems with cryptography building, but we will try to solve it in upcoming weeks.
XDN blockchain is lightweight, full DigitalNote mobile node with local mobile blockchain should run well on modern devices.
It is not a best solution to have a full mobile node with you, because eventually XDN blockchain will grow significantly and we will need "light" mobile wallets. But DigitalNote mobile full node is a good idea for the near months, the size is compared with popular Play Market games 1-2GB seems ok. XDN blockchain now <1GB. with 468164 transactions and 166465 blocks after more than 1 year.

Pool admins bonus: +150 XDN for every block

A quick note to say that I'll be passing on 20% of this to miners at http://duckpool.mooo.com/, as I did in july.

Thanks

No, just deposit and you can close the wallet any time. It's unrelated to the deposit locking, different system than POS coins.

Thank you, that is right explanation. DigitalNote XDN blockchain banking deposit is based on proof-of-work, but later we will implement Proof-of-activity scheme. Users will receive an additional interest for staying online and securing the network.

Also, can I add a bitcoin address to an existing Alias? Or is that something than can only be done during creation?

Yes, you can point all XDN.IO digitalnames to the same XDN address. Also you can edit your DigitalName and add Bitcoin address.
At this point we are working on core updates, so now only DigitalNote wallet is compartible with XDN.IO.
But we will try to add XDN.IO and DigitalName support in major Bitcoin clients, like Electrum.
