Question: Before PoA, do we need merged mining?
Merged mining is a good idea
We do not need merged mining
We need only PoA
We need both merged mining and PoA

XDN would have been a way better bet for Darkmarket adoption vs XMR. It already has a gui wallet and the encrypted msging from the wallet would eliminate the need for PGP software. Its just nobody really knows about XDN yet. that needs to change asap

XDN has made a big marketing mistake: it changed its name and main post too many times.
I didn't follow too closely what happened here, but not long ago I tried to find some info (alive mining pools) and it was quite a challenge.
I found only one alive mining pool. That doesn't look too healthy for a coin... And quite some are still against merged mining I see...
Merged mining is great for the network, but Dogecoin has shown that it may bring the price even lower..

All in all there's quite some work to do to get people into this and make the price rise again and I don't know how.. Good luck though.

You are right, all the name changes caused some of the core people that supported the coin to leave. We just need to move forward. Let's figure out how to make it better.

Do any of you guys know how we could sell things for XDN on a website?
Dnote hasn't really replied.

You can collect XDN payments on a website, using simplewallet or walletd. Unfortunately now you should make XDN integration by yourself, but you do have all tools you need with simplewallet or walletd JSON-RPC.
We do not have out-of-the-box modules for CMS and popular e-commerce solutions. But we do have a pretty good JSON-RPC on both wallets so you can make your own payment module.

XDN has made a big marketing mistake: it changed its name and main post too many times.

Much appreciate any opinion here. But we see this fact a little different. XDN names is like a stage names. Can compare it with Ubuntu names like
Trusty Tahr, Utopic Unicorn, Vivid Vervet, etc.
Name doesn't matter, only blockchain and its inviolability and its features.

I see your point on the name. You are saying "XDN"(The Name) stayed the same and you only changed the series. Moving forward, what is next for xdn marketing? Any ideas?

Sorry, I tried to google "simplewallet" and "walletd," but i couldn't find anything. Could you point me to the right links?
Unfortunately I have no clue about coding and wouldn't be able to make my own payment module.

We need a tipbot on reddit. Jwinterm and I are trying to do this but it is hard to find a legit seller of AWS codes on bitcointalk for a VPS.

The currency will not make significant progress if we do not get a service online.
For example, even something simple like offering to swap DigitalNote for cash would be great.
People need to feel encouraged to use it as a currency: to buy and sell goods.

If anyone wants to set up a service, just talk here, I'm glad to help!

You already bought an AWS code?

Yes. Only $7 for $200 code that lasts until Dec 2017. So why not? Smiley

Saw a response in the Poloniex Trollbox today.

Somebody was apparently trying to pump this coin.

They shut him down quick.

Wrote that Alphabay was going to use this coin.

Got me thinking, since I liked this coin from way back.

CryptoNote, with a savings feature and messaging -- and a working easy to use wallet...hmmm.

Just please take the "Cryptsy" info off of the website.

Let's see if this goes anywhere anytime soon...

Nice! Let me know if there is any way I can help. A tipbot would make the subreddit much more social!

I saw the pump and I was a bit suspicious.
In terms of XDN getting onto any sort of marketplace, we will need a lot of time to overtake the anoncoins ahead of us in price such as vcash.

Regarding Vcash. It has been a slow long haul for him/them. A lot of FUD over the last year or so. I got a bad taste from reading that Dev's answers to legitimate questions. John Connor, was it? Kinda silly.

Maybe he was onto to something with that tiny wallet and ability to stay under the radar, but I lacked trust. The Poloniex transfers to/from Vcash were very fast, however.

So I dumped all my Vcash and naturally, over the last year or so, it has doubled in value.

I think, however -- and I'm probably wrong -- that the CryptoNote coins and their progeny will suffer some sort of "coming to Jesus" in the near future, if and when they start to take off.

Monero has spiked. I'm sure they have a lot of great coders, but so does Uncle Sam and every other country on earth. The battle to even exist in this space will be interesting in the near future; IMO.

I liked AEON -- still do -- but I wonder if it can preserver.

But DigitalNote does have some serious upside, if the Dev and its supporters decide to throw some more fuel on the fire. IMO -- again.

So maybe that "pumper" on Poloniex was reading the tea leaves, smoking some other kind of leaf or just making us all think...

One thought though, is the upside, if the Darkweb adopts CryptoNote or Zcash or some other "private" coin.

Alphabay still uses Bitcoin, from what I can see. Bad idea. They need to catch up.

Imagine the revaluation of the first coin to take the "Private Web" by storm?

Monero still does not have a good wallet. DigitalNote does. Has for a long time.

I've had a few XDN's for a long time. (Admission.) But I hold what I feel has promise. And I dabble in others as well.

I have talked to some alt coin payment services already.
They are reluctant to include XDN since they worry about it not being affordable and too risky for them.

Assuming we were to get a payment processor for XDN, would anyone want to make a website selling for XDN.

Just so I know if anyone is interested.

Some ideas for a website:
1. DigitalNote to fiat service
2. Online shop
3. DigitalNote physical coins for sale.
Any other ideas?

Ps jwinterm, when should the tipping bot be up?
