Never, sometimes, always?
at first the immature will say never... I am sure as a rock... however do you eat one more bite? one more beer? now or later?
What are your coping mechanism(s)?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Yes, all the time. Sometimes i lose the argument.
My coping mechanism is to actually let it play out in my head until one side or the other wins.
Sometimes it takes too long - like do I really want to hit send or post to a reply. I go back and change my answer a few times back and forth. Eventually I just tell myself that if I can't agree with myself then neither answer must be right, or else both of them are. Either way it doesn't matter, so I just proceed with which ever one was on top last.

I often disagree with past versions of me. They had less processing time, so they can't be expected to be as smart as the latest me.

Coping mechanisms are an illusion, they seem to relieve tension when in effect all that you're doing is sweeping the dirt under the carpet, it hasn't gone anywhere. There will come a time when the bump under the carpet will be stretched all the way to ceiling. It'll become impossible to ignore and a lot scarier to deal with.

I often disagree with past versions of me.
Me too. It's called regret, and it's something you have to work hard to minimize, or it eats you up.

I find myself changing my political opinion as I get older and learn new things. Now I try to keep my mouth shut and my mind open.
