Hi folks,
I´m really new to all the Bitcoin stuff, my computer however is almost on and idling around. I know that I won´t get the big buck with my rig.

At the moment I´m Runing at 50Mhash/s, is this okay for my graphics card, or am I doing something wrong? How much can one get e.g. out of a high end card?

Best regards =)

Heh! NVidia cards (even the 580) don't do well with this! AMD/ATI cards are best miners. Some around here pull in the GH/s range (thet's thousands of MH/s), One card alone won't do that though! The best bang for your buck would be the 58xx series. I hash along at a modest 625MH/s+ with an HD6950, and an HD5770 in another rig.

50 Mh/s is good for a nvidia 260 gtx. But you would be better off picking up a 58xx even a 5830 or 5850 you can easily quadruple the output.  I have a 260 GTX running on my son's system now and I get between 44-47 Mh/s right now, until the new video card comes. Guess he's getting an early birthday present Smiley

k, thank you very much.
I could buy a 5830 (heard this would be the most sufficient) for 100€, how long would it take to recoup the investment?

Edit: How many cards could my 650W Corsair PSU handle?

50 is about right for a 260 you can tweak it a bit and get maybe 65 out of it
5830 or 5850s are good cards if you want some thing cheap
2x 5830s or 5850s should be fine on a Corsair PSU

Could it handle 3 as well?
and especially how long to regain the investment?

How can one tweak the result?

3 would be pushing it
you can mess with the work unit size and few other things / use a CUDA miner vs. OpenCL etc.
