It consumes more processor power than ram,
running some tests, so far so good,
yes, might be posible to run a coin and the server, will
give it more tests, PINE64 will bring a whole lot of power to it
also, will report back its performance, at the moment the
open bazaar software gets updated constantly fixing/improving,
so is a lot of fun.

I settled on Ubuntu 16.04 lts (xenial) for the Odroid C2, Odrobian is still quite buggy and debian (jessie) ARM64 repository  way behind.
Ubuntu has gcc compiler 5.3.1 Smiley DMD wallet now running < 10% Cpu Smiley

Nice stuff! Maybe built-in support for USB miners too?

Tech question: would there be any advantage to using a little USB ASIC to do the SHA-256 hash function instead of the processor with staking wallets, leaving the CPU available for other things? Or is that not possible or more trouble than it's worth?

Try ShadowCash, the first coin with instant and decentralized private transactions!

Hi, miners are supported, there is a guide some pages back,
will continue to add all the tuts to the github in the coming days after the new coming releases
next ROKOS flavors in the next week or 2 (Raspbian based) and ROKOS uflavors a week or 2 after (Ubuntu mate based).

There d be no advantage as would still require cpu to operate this, while in theory sounds good, every coin would have to make proper
changes just to fit that model, and as not everyone has miners would lose its purpose, same way cpu over iot
keep doubling every few months now, so in the future cpu wont be an issue imho.

Welcome to the community, Thanks for your feedback.

Back from CoinFest UK in Manchester and while hardly anyone has heard of ROKOS, it did draw a lot of "wtf is this all about then?", to which I was more than happy to fill in the gaps and sing praises.

Some great things being built here (open source work is much easier to better, keeping in mind the custom touches of closed & a world of improving both), the world is changing & innovation is that of light speed ahead of our past generations. A decade of operating system knowledge, but most interested in the hardware & most don't understand that "without the software, what use would the hardware utilize & function as"  Wink

I'm sure you already know you have to compile kernel on/for your target machine...
Not much help here you have not specified target, compiler, distribution, kernel version, source(s) ...

qemu is a virtual machine. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QEMU) even it's full hardware emulation (in contrast t paravirtualisation) you need a special kernel for it.
