Bitcoin will still grow slowly for a while, until the financial system and all the VC injected into digital payment methods, develop some sort of Alt coin that would replace Bitcoin.

We seem to think, that the GIANT financial corporations, with huge financial reserves, will just sit back and allow 100% disruption and a total collapse. {Eg. WU / Moneygram / World banks....}

Long before disruption occur, they would finance research and development with the help from the top Core developers in the crypto currency scene, and they will create a NEW alternative to Bitcoin.

You will see the "Ripple type" currencies, that adhere to the control of governments and financial institutions and they will replace Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will still be used by a select group of rebels and libetarians and Anarchists {My spelling sux today, I am very tired} but governments will slowly change regulations to outlaw all crypto currencies that does not adhere to their requirements.

Bitcoin will change the financial world. Bitcoin have great potential. That's ok

But I am not really sure about the price is increasing

If you believe in the first 2 statements then there shoudn't be any reason for you not to believe that the price will increase.
The price will increase eventually.
Don't forget that there is a limited supply of only 21M in existence ever.
Deduct the 1M speculated to be owned by Satoshi and you have 20M coins.
There is also the one that hodl loads of it (https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html)
So, like I said, the price will increase eventually.
We just need to be patient  and hodl Wink

it was already mentioned multiple times, that bitcoin can't reach mainstream and still "wearing " this ridiculous price

you need to reduce much more than 1M, lost coins are probably around 3-5M

i wonder what will happen if we enter the fees era right now and cut the rest of the supply(i should create a thread about this), does it will speed up the bitcoin ascent?

bitcoin is not a bubble .. it has huge potential. I am not sure if govt will try to crush bitcoin if it becomes too popular though

i doubt, they will just regulate it more, to milk some heavy taxes from it

In fact, part of the coins will be lost permanently.
What do you think, how much maximum can rise in the price of Bitcoin?
And another question. For example, if I buy a coffee in a cafe for Bitcoin, I have to stand near the cash register and wait 6 Confirmed?

of course Bitcoin have great potential
the Bitcoin interest increases every day from all markets, the popularity is growing in all major respects. Except one, that is the price. Which is not really indicative of anything.

Yes! But you have to wait 6 evidence, and it is not very convenient. So I asked the top post. How to buy a cup of coffee for the Bitcoin?

Here are the results of the voting itself on my website:
Option 1 - 67.4%
Option 2 - 32.6%
Everywhere people are thinking the same way.
Once I asked:
What are for you the main advantages of Bitcoin?
Decentralization - 39.7%
Anonymity - 42.2%
Low commission - 18.1%

The room for growth in bitcoin is very large; there are many things that could happen along the way. It is very evident that there are setbacks every now and then, like companies saying bitcoin isn't good, gov'ts banning bitcoin, several exchanges asking for too much personal information (that is against bitcoin's concept of anonymity) and most specially, people on-board treating bitcoin as an investment and not as a currency. The concept of bitcoin is great, I mean, who doesn't want to have full control of their money? It's just that the general public are too accustomed on using the fiat system on their monetary engagements. Once the general public realizes that bitcoin is the way to go and fiat is completely flawed in several aspects.

option three! a little bit of both
i believe that bitcoin was a revolutionary technology that changed the financial world and it is going to be around for many years to come.
Bitcoin has great potentials. and as far as price goes, no one can tell. but i think it is going to grow. and surely it is going to have other bubbles too.
as long as it has some flaws it is not going to be as big as it can be.

Im not sure will change the financial world. Bitcoin is a baby, limited value and a bubble.
im not the pessimists which bitcoin will fail, but really bitcoin just an alternative payment.

~iki

wrong.

and that is the reason why you didnt choose option 1  Smiley

Just my opinion Tongue
what your opinion? you believe bitcoin will change the financial world? How?

~iki

no problem.  Smiley

you said it is "only a alternative payment method". you should take a look here:

even might seem impossible i hope in the future it would actually happen

Yes I would go with the option A as bitcoin is the future so I believe that it will definitely change the financial world and people will get rid of the the traditional banking system which would save money and time as transacting with bitcoins is so simple and easy with the least cost.

Exactly bitcoin is the future and the future of bitcoin is very bright as the mass adoption occurs and then it can surely replace the fiat currency and the best thing is it is decentralised so the privacy factor is associated with bitcoin and it really saves time and money when it comes to transferring money.

you don't need to, for small transaction, the risk of attack is lower, also the amount of money is so low that it should not be a problem for those small shops, to let it go without confirmation

when btc gets popular , the  elite/govt  will release their  own version of crypto  , the mainstream will jump ship.

You could be right but if they cared that much about crypto they either would have done it around the time of the bitcoin bubble, or they would have just brought massive mining farms and brought up a load of the supply (probably have). The truth is they do not care about this little spec in the ocean, the mainstream are not here to jump ship.

OP I am an optimist and I believe bitcoin will keep growing all over the world, will it change the financial world? It is possible of course it is and time will tell either way lets hope it grows and gets intelligent savvy business owners who join the team.

I don't think it can change the financial world looking at the present value of bitcoin.

And I simply disagree that it can replace fiat or traditional banking system as the banking system origins from years and bitcoin is new born baby in front of fiat and banking so it would be mistake to come to an opinion that it can change the financial world.
