Hello everyone,

my name is Nadine and currently I running a survey concerning trust in decentralized payment networks. In particular, the survey is about attitudes and perceptions and a comparison between Bitcoin and PayPal.

Since this is a survey for my master thesis at University of Freiburg I would really appreciate it if some of you would take the time and answer the questions! Smiley

Time approx. 7 min., languages: English or German

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

one of my favourite lines from blockchain which always held my head high if any one talks about paypal and its glory ..i just say on ething.. " A new technology which is just beginning to come into it's own. Sure there are some hurdles to jump but the ability to truly take control of your own finances is worth some minor inconvenience. If you value liberty, then you should value bitcoin."

Thank you a lot!

Much greetings, Nadine
I feel like you should have implemented a question asking how you came to the survey in order to be able to compare how the answers of people from outside the bitcoin world compared to the answers of people who came to the survey from this forum.
It also wouldn't be a bad idea to additionally post this survey in the german section of this forum.
Lastly, do you mind mentioning the name of your master's degree program?

Overall, really interesting survey, would be cool if you publish the results after the survey is over.

I also filled in the survey. Was it my jetlag or in English it actually said that you "didn't have to answer ALL questions in order to complete the survey"?

Sounded to me like bartering for answers or something? Like Homer Simpson paying a suggested donation of "0" at the Museum.  Grin

Surely, no survey will leave all people happy, but this is a space to comment... while paypal is so more comprehensive for anybody to pay (I see it this way, I can paypal with almost anything electronic I have, except cypto), micropayments as they are called are much more suited to bitcoin.

Once I paid less than 1 USD worth with paypal, paypal reported the fractionary amount, but my backing card (european, USD denominated) was billed 1 USD. either paypal comissions or bank nonsense.

Okay, so I'll wait that mercant to start receiving bitcoin...  Roll Eyes

Thanks for your remarks. Probably I will consider this for my next Survey (since I will continue to work on this topic for my PhD)!

The master degree program is M.Sc. Economics at University of Freiburg

Sure, I can make the results public. Unfortunately only when I have my grade for the whole thesis.

Probably this is in 2 month.
