The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

i really wouldn't waste time with faucets -- not that faucets have anything to do with mining. Wink imo, if you want to mine, you better be able to speculate on alts, because mining bitcoin is pretty much off limits for the casual newbie.

The way i understood, mining is completely different from getting coins from faucets... Mining coins = generating new coins, faucets = watching annoying ads for very small parts of a bitcoin

the only way to mine with faucets would be if they would give free hash power or something like that with which you could mine coins

i'm sure if they did that, the amount of hashing power would be so miniscule so as to be insulting. i think there was a browser-based cpu-mining website but it was either a scam or paid out so little that it appeared to be one.

That site is bitcoinplus. Many people has complained that it didn't payout. Even if it does, you would have a hard time reaching the payout thershold. Main reason being the inefficiency of the script.

Minergate is also a browser-based cpu mining website. I tried it, but couldn't reach my initial payout...
