Synala + Offline Signer Released -- Become Your Own BitPay!

We're happy to announce the release of both, Synala and our Offline Signer.  Both are absolutely free of charge, and open sourced on GitHub for your viewing / modification.  Synala allows you to quickly, easily and securely accept Bitcoin payments online.  It fully supports multiple BIP32 wallets, multi-signature transactions, offline signing, user registration, products, invoices, and more.

On top of this, our Offline Signer is a quality desktop application written in Python that seamlessly integrates with Synala, and allows you to securely sign all transactions offline, helping ensure the safety of your funds.  It's also developed to be easily integrated with any existing online system that handles Bitcoin transactions, if they would like to provide offline signing to their users as well.

Excellent if you need something as secure as Electrum, but with the ability to accept funds online on your server / web site.

Hi,
this is EXACTLY what I need! Thing is I'm not a coder in any way, so I feel I bit confused to where, and how, to begin (of course I'll start with the documentation).
Also, I'm kind of scared; making some coding mistakes and end up loosing bitcoins. So I guess making a test-site and try out myself with small amounts of btc is a good idea.
But Envrin, will you be hanging around here and maybe help me out if need to..?
I plan on dig me in on this next week, but (if I know myself just a little) i think going through, and understand, the documentation is going to take at least a week, hehe.
I really want/need this to work so I'll try my best.
And, Envrin, thanks for doing such a huge thing for btc merchants!!

Great to hear.  I dislike seeing companies charging merchants fees to accept bitcoin, as that somewhat defeats the entire purpose of bitcoin -- to cut out the middle man.  Be your own bank.

Also, I'm kind of scared; making some coding mistakes and end up loosing bitcoins.

If it helps put you at ease any, I use it for my own funds.  When clients pay an invoice, they pay via Synala.  So far, no problems.

But Envrin, will you be hanging around here and maybe help me out if need to..?

I'm always around, so yeah, happy to help.  Installation is extremely simple, and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.  I guess the hardest part is you need a copy of Bitcoin Core on your server, and need to add a couple lines to the bitcoin.conf file, but aside from that, shouldn't be any issues.  If there are, please let me know.  If you don't mind, please keep all questions public though.

Ok, so I need the core (20gb) on my server. I'll need to check if I even got that much of space, hehe, but I think I have 100gb, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Been going through your docs, seems pretty straightforward.

Can I run it locally first by just downloading the bitcoin core to my hd? So I can run trail and error tests (will be a lot!) that way?

At http://demo.envrin.com/synala/admin once admin clicks on let's say Settings then General the left-side Settings menu shrinks back to default state. It should stay expanded, showing all options.

Full blockchain is close to 60GB right now.

@Ethen_hw -- Yes, you need to be running a full node with Bitcoin Core.  No funds are stored within the wallet.dat file, but Synala does use Bitcoin Core to watch txs & blocks, and broadcast sends.  Bitcoin Core is still the most reliable way to watch txs flow through the blockchain.

@SISAR -- I'm assuming you're viewing on a tablet or phone?  That's default for mobile devices due to screen size.  If you use a laptop or desktop, the menu will remain in place.

I think this isn't like Bitpay, because the money the we receive is a Bitcoin. While Bitpay convert it to fiat and then deposit the money to our bank
