Hi,

My newbie-introduction:

I worked this year for 3 weeks on this alpine hut: http://imgur.com/L1x5U
It is at 2718m elevation and only reachable by foot after a ~3h alpin hike - and we accepted bitcoin.
Sofar nobody has had BTC with them to convert them to beer or other "necessities" Smiley But we had many interested ppl who informed them self about bitcoins and we made quite a lot PR for it.

More infos: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/wpph4/buy_your_beer_and_käspressknödeln_with_bitcoins/

Still open till end of Sept - so if you are from the region (AUT/GER) - come and bring some Bitcoins Smiley

Yes, with Smartphone (quite good reception up there) and we use the Blockchain wallet App for Android - has everything needed for this.

Looks like a beautiful place in the mountains.
Good to hear more places accepting bitcoins, didn't expect you to get any reception up there.
I've always had trouble when skiing in some of the more tourist locations, let alone going off the beaten track.
