Is there any news that make bitcoins going up these days?

Perhaps they are trying to pop up the price so much as to pay for the Romney tax return 1 BTC? Smiley

Any idea is welcome.

Speculation the September announcements going to come out at bitcoin 2012 and move the price up. Also I've noticed about the last 3 big media stories are all positive I think journalists are starting to realize the price moves on what they write and are buying in.

Yeah it was a bit of a stupid argument on my side considering all that's going on, but if you look at google news for bitcoin it's all positive no talk of silk road, funding terrorism or ponzi's and tbh I thought the Romney thing would create a shit storm questioning the danger of bitcoin but it hasn't at all....yet!

I'm about to have 10 people test a new automated trading bot...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=109317.0

My thresholds are low enough that it shouldn't be effecting the price, but if enough people were running it with high enough thresholds I believe the cumulative effect of the algorithm might stabilize the price (although that's not it's intent, it's intent is to make me money Wink )

Anyways I'm inviting comment on it, i've laid the entire algo out on page 2.

Sorry for the thread hijack!

Hi Asis,

your idea seems to me very interesting but why don't you announce it with your own thread? It's more effective, from my point of view.  Wink

Is there any news that make bitcoins going up these days?

Bitcoin Conference 2012 in London is one reason, I believe.

Lots of announcements and sharing of Bitcoin innovations.

But we would see it here:http://nandbit.com/romney/

No, I believe the number of bitcoin nodes has been on a steady decline for some time now. Alt-clients offer more convenience for casual users, and they have been getting increasingly better.

The sudden spike is likely due people wanting to tinker with the new release.

Could be wrong though.
