Question: Is there anyway anyone could spare me 7 bitcoins for a month at which time i get my unemployment check and will exchange USD for BTC and pay you back? Huh

yeah i will mate no problem...just send me an email at: notahopeinhellwhodyouthinkiamsomekindofmug@hotmail.co.uk
email sent. by the way, if youre like the other few judging me by my unemployment, ill tell you what i told them.
"for the record, my unemployment check is from the United States Military. I was permanently injured during active duty and the MEB is paying me for the service i would be doing now as i type this. unfortunately having no arm from the elbow down limits me from fulfilling my job as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist. i was injured 6 months ago, and i was a year into my tour when it happened. i signed a contract for 6 with the army. so i get payed monthly for the next 4 1/2 years. so yes... thats why i get an unemployment check. but on a slightly lighter note... i find i can type faster with this prosthetic arm."

The must be a societal overhaul in the general perception of the bitcoin as a currency and the entire nebulous world it exists in. A "gentrifying" of sorts, that displays BTC for what it is, very simply put, a global currency.

That being said, with the mainstreaming of the currency, will also come the government finding ways to get in on the action  and ensuring their cut. The only questions are when and how. Will that eventual government involvement neutralize the appeal of bitcoin to begin with. Time will tell.

Oh, BTW, I'm Phnx818 - interested in this primarily for investment purposes.

Right now I think BitCoin could best benefit by more exposure on popular public venues and websites, social networks, etc... I believe this should be the bitcoin community's biggest focus right now...

..

Other than a lack of publicity and ways to earn decent amounts of BTC (without having to spend $700+ on a mining rig), I think bitcoin is on the right track and will hopefully really take-off and become more profitable for the average user...

You have been bit-pennied (0.01 BTC sent).

I would point out there will never be a cheap easy way to acquire a large amount of Bitcoins.  If you could then Bitcoins wouldn't be worth very much right. Wink  There is a reason people hoard gold coins not sand cons.  Scarcity isn't the only requirement for a currency but remember currency isn't wealth it is merely an accounting system.  If it was 10,000x easier to mine coins (in terms of coins/$ and coins/W) then the coins would only be worth 1/10,000th as much.  Right?

I do agree that more social media exposure for Bitcoin would be a good thing.

Thank you for the tip!  =)

And I don't want to make it simple to earn BTC, don't misunderstand, but the only legitimate ways for newbies to make BTC take FOREVER, lol...

I was thinking if possibly the BTC job boards were better maintained and people took them more seriously. Right now the boards are filled with people who want to earn BTC but nobody who wants to spend BTC...

Sorry, didnt read the first post. I learned about BTC through a buddy in my quadrant who would link all of our computers and would say "i'm mining bitcoins." we'd ask wtf he was talkin about and he's sayd itd be too complicated. we thought it was one of the few choices of hobbies we pick up to pass time between patrols. I was an EOD specialist in Iraq. Coincidentally that was the same guy who messed up on the config of the det. cord for a controlled detonation disposal that blew off my arm 6 months ago. Luckily i was a year into my 6year contract with the army, so i am receiving my monthly EOD Specialist payment as if i am still on active duty. I actually plan on investing my next check at the end of the month into BTC which is why ive been asking for a loan of 7 BTC which will be payed back at the end of this month when said check arrives. i am a pool miner with a normal CPU. I'm only at 5 Mhash/s sadly, so if anyone here is generous enough to lend/tip me BTC, could you also put into laymen terms on how i can increase my mining capabilities on this computer?

I learned about BTC through browsing youtube actually. some video of a guy on stage almost promoting it as a currency. The video was a few years back, and it's amazing to see how far BitCoins have since then. I actually plan on investing my BTC into mining more BTC by building bigger 'rigs' as they seem to be called. i'm a pool miner as we speak. SO yeah... thats about it. so uhhh.... feel free to tip the noob?

Pretending to be a veteran is a federal crime in the US I believe.
Anyone want to put him in the slammer?

Not defending the Josh guy, but i'm a criminal just major with a minor in psychology. The law is "Any false written or verbal claim to a decoration or medal or any wear, purchase, attempt to purchase, solicitation for purchase, mailing, shipping, import, export, manufacture, sale, attempt to sell, advertising for sale, trade, or barter of a decoration or medal authorized for wear by authorized military members or veterans is a federal offense punishable by up to six months in jail and up to a $5,000 fine" - 18 U.S.C. § 704

Just saying. But from reading his threads, he definitely isnt worthy of any BitCOins... ESPECIALLY ones he lies about to get for free.

True. But he looks like just a dumb ass kid. I'd hate for my suns business to be put out there like that. But aye, he'll live and he'll learn. "Dont fuck with tech savvy people" as he quoted in the song for BTC thing lol  Cool

Thanks for the Dox. I had a feeling his story was "off".   As a 12 year veteran I couldn't imagine any medically disabled vet calling his disability pay "unemployment insurance" and someone receiving a qualified medical discharge for a service related disability would receive it for life not the rest of their enlistment.  Still didn't really have enough to call out a potential disabled vet.

Glad someone doxxed that dirtbag though.
