It's every two weeks (14 days) , you can check this thread for more info about activity and how it works : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0Next activity reset will be 6/23/2015 11:46:40 (which is on three days) so you will be 56 if you reach that number of posts .

Also, I would like to add that if you don't post more than 14 times within the week, it would be whatever the amount (ex. 10 posts = 10 activity). So if you posted at least 18 times the next week, it will give you all the activity you missed. Your account could also have passive activity like my own where it automatically goes up (assuming you have enough posts).

You need to post. If you don't make at least one in each period you lose those 14 points forever.

I think it's not lost forever. While I was newbie/Jr.member if I'm not mistaken, I left my account for 1-2 month, and then start posting again. I got my activity + the one I missed back.

It is. If you don't post in a period you lose those points for good. You can still collect points from periods you made one or more posts in at a later date though, but if you never made a post in a period you wont get those points.

Just wondering - if you make at least one post, there will be potential activity that can be gained and stored up, correct? So if I posted only twice in the 2 week period, I would have another 12 potential activity points that can be earned at anytime, one per new post? It is. If you don't post in a period you lose those points for good. You can still collect points from periods you made one or more posts in at a later date though, but if you never made a post in a period you wont get those points.
This is what I'm asking. Can these points be converted into actual activity points at any time? So, if I were to post 1 post every 2 weeks for a whole year, I would have 338 potential activity. If I made 338 posts in one day, would I have 338 more activity, instantly?

Yes and yes. If you made at least one post in every period you could take a newbie/Jnr account all the way up to Hero just by making the required posts.

You would actually need to be at least a Junior member to become a hero member just by posting. You would need to have posted in at least 35 different activity periods to have a potential of 480 activity, and having 35 activity would put you at a junior member.

These 2 week periods everyone is mentioning, are they unique to your account? Like 2 week periods from the date of when you signed up? An example, if I registered on 11-01-2014, the next period would start on 25-01-2014?

You are wrong read again https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registrationactivity = min(time * 14, posts) The activity will be calculated from your registration time but it will increase after each two week periods(dates are mentioned in above link).
