Clues for the origin of the name Satoshi Nakamoto

The origin of the name Satoshi Nakamoto may be related to the very famous Japanese musician:
                                 "Ryuichi Sakamoto"
Also it may have a connection with the word "Satori" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satori
which makes me think he likes Buddhism and Zen.

Ugh I can't remember his name exactly, but there's an established cryptographer with a name like Hiroshi Osaka or something ridiculously similar to Satoshi's name. Quite a bit more relevant than this connection. Can't really give too much meaning to similar looking anglicanized Japanese names.

Why?  It's a Japanese surname and a very common first name.

Why?  It's a Japanese surname and a very common first name.

Nakamoto could be translated as "the centre of things".

Something about the construct doesn't sound right. I had never heard that Japanese name pair before.

I believe there is some traditional conventions as to which first and last names to pair.

It's kind of like "Bart Rockefeller". It's just weird, but a Japanese kid might think it's a perfectly OK name from watching American TV.

Seriously, people give unnatural, or even downright ridiculous names to their children. My granny had a neighbour and his name could be roughly translated as "IWelcomeYou".

As for Satoshi, from what I've heard, he most likely isn't japanese.
