When I started to use Bitcointalk, I read a thread which stated that the activity is maximal the days past since registration. For example, I registered 30 days ago and I have got 50 posts, then activity is 30. If i would have posted only 20 posts, my activity would be only 20 then.

But, I registered exactly 52 days from now, and I have got 72 posts, but my activity is 56. How can it be? Did I got something wrong in activity calculation?

Thanks!

Hmm, it seems you missed one 2 week period: the first, going from when you registered on June 5, up to June 9 - so you missed out on the initial 14 points, and can only get the maximum of 56 activity points, corresponding to the 4 periods you were active in.

In other words, the activity calculation doesn't exactly involve how long you've been registered, but rather, on how many 14 day periods you've been active (posted).

Exactly.
In case you are wondering when the activity period starts, you can take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0.

And btw, this belongs to Meta I believe.

If you have any other questions this thread is also very helpful and includes other areas besides activity.

Good Luck!

Thanks, but i have understand the calculation process now. Originally, i thought that only time from registration and the number of posts are counting. But this is not the case Smiley
