Perhaps a minor problem with DUO....

The scrypt difficulty has not changed in days....  25.18371078

I do not think anyone is mining it with scrypt... all blocks found for days are sha256 blocks...
scrypt is 'stuck' as it were...

We need a solid scrypt pool.

Does this coin use a different kind of difficulty algorithm per block or is a timeline difficulty change ?

If it is a timeline then this coin could get stuck where it would be pointless to aim anything at it.

This coin, as far as moving it around from address to address works fine... But It is possible scrypt and sha256 are completely separate from each other as far as calculating difficulty... this really is not a problem... if the value goes up to enough people will jump on to whatever algo gives the best return and it will 'work' out... but as far as I see it now, this is a sha256 10 minute coin, for the moment...

I wonder how this coin can be a 10 minute sha256 coin.... this would be nice ... sometimes it takes 1-2 hours to find a sha256 block....

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I think it is possible that a few multipools smack on DUO now and then and drive up difficulty... then they move onto a different coin and the regular miners have to fight off that high difficulty for a bit before it settles back down... that could create a few long blocks...

Alright...  DUO is still moving right along...  Marcetin's sha256 pool is working fine... however his 'official explorer' is not...

We also could use a cold wallet system...  and a Android wallet... we can ask the captcoin guy for help here.... but I am sure he would need to be 'paid' in some sort of way... either with DUO or with BTC or ETH...

But I still like this coin ( DUO ) and it is time for some activity....

Either set the mining computer as DMZ or forward the ports to the ones set in the parallelcoind config file

Im not being ironic - this is sort of a obscure magic thing. I've never seen a commercial "router" work like it should.

DUO is a solid altcoin currency, which is there since years. It is still mineable, the blockchain is kept alive and is working 100%, so DUO is an ideal altcoin currency for payments and transactions.

But it got very quiet lately on DUO. So, what can we do to make DUO more wellknown/more attractive for exchange traders/make DUO a top altcoin currency?

One point would be to collect all current information about DUO like active mines, exchanges, ... and update the first post of this thread.

Also contacting online shops and other businesses, which are offering various altcoins for payment, to add DUO as additional stable payment currency.

What might help would be contacting blogs/news pages to write articles/posting informations on DUO to increase knowledge.

Some other good idea?

Why is nothing happening with DUO ? Only 1,000,000 coins total, I thought this would be a hit  Huh
One thing I have noticed though is that someone seems to buy everything under 2000 satoshi, maybe someone in the know is collecting ready for a future pump ?
What do you guys think ?

Better to get some DUO as long as it is still cheap.
Or mine some - still one of the coins pretty easy to mine.
There might be a time soon when mining and buying is not so easy and cheap as now...

Somebody know a working sha256 DUO pool?

Good to see - the sha256 DUO main pool is working again:
http://pool.parallelcoin.info

Are there other pools too? Maybe scrypt?

I am interested in investing in parallelcoin, who are the founders now?
Is it still a community?

Apart from the attractive low supply and low price what is parallelcoin actually building?

I would really appreciate some answers from the community before I invest today.

Thanks!
