here are few options for you. you can do faucets to test the waters but that will only give you little amount of bitcoins. you can offer your service here to earn some BTC. you can buy bitcoins and purchase forum account to participate in a signature campaign and earn weekly or monthly for posting here

since you are new to bitcoin, first of all start reading about bitcoin and the importance of securing your coins.
spend some time on the forum and read the posts to get the whole idea and learn the ways to earn bitcoin.
after this time has passed and you became informed enough, your rank has risen too and you can join a good signature campaign and earn more bitcoin.

since you are new to bitcoin, first of all start reading about bitcoin and the importance of securing your coins.
spend some time on the forum and read the posts to get the whole idea and learn the ways to earn bitcoin.
after this time has passed and you became informed enough, your rank has risen too and you can join a good signature campaign and earn more bitcoin.

i agree with this guy; learning more about the currency itself is probably more important right now; prioritize learning at least the basics before worrying about how to earn from signature campaigns or faucets otherwise. Just read through a couple of the threads on this section; a lot of your potential questions might be answered by the various threads started by other newcomers. Learning about how the network (miners, transactions, the blockchain, confirmations, and fees) would be a great place to start.

Faucets can be fun, but for me they are a waste of time.  That being said my favorite was moonbitcoins, because you build up some dust but you don't have to go back and click every 15 minutes to make a decent number of satoshis.

I think you are best using a skill and selling it on the forums, or on a website like fivr.  You might even find a product that you can sell for bitcoins, it can be anything, but something that people want.  Think out side the box.  For example I really like Indonesian soy sauce, but no one has it where I live except fancy stores.  The exact brands like ABC that used to cost me 3$ a bottle go for 15$ here.  So maybe yo have access to a local product like that, that you can sell to people that don't have it where you live.

Actually almost nothing is free.

The faucets will give you tiny amounts for filling captcha.
The PTC sites will pay you for visiting sites and clicking on ads.
The sig campaigns will pay you to post.

Mostly you'll have to invest at least your time in order to get "free" coins.
But if you have time, why not?


Also, keep your eyes open, from time to time there are individuals or companies which pay very good for small tasks (like, retweet, post here or there, ..) or companies doing various types of giveaways - especially casinos. The casinos will give you nice amounts, but you have to be lucky enough and win some in the casino to actually withdraw, but if you have the time, it's fine.

Just make sure that you don't gamble your money, or at least don't gamble more than you afford to lose.

Since they are a good way of acquiring good amount of BTC for free, I would suggest you slowly build your account and become eligible for campaigns once you're a full member.

But since it will take some time for you to reach there and if you're very eager to get some BTC, just buy some using fiat. If you don't want to spend a penny, try faucets that give away free BTC - but that will be a very small amount that can let you test Bitcoin experience, but other than that you can't do much.

The best way so far is signature campaigns. I understand that you cannot join campaigns right now, so you may want to look into leveling up your current account. However, there are some campaigns that do accept users with your account rank, that is a great way to start to earning some BTC right away, and you level up your account in the process. Bitcoin is a lot like anything else: you can earn small amounts doing tedious, menial work, or you can do real work that pays a lot and requires almost no time/effort. It's really up to you which path you take. If you want the tedious work, do faucets or join signature campaigns. If you want actual money, get educated and get a real job (and either get paid in BTC or buy it with your earnings).

you can do it right now. it goes like this:

you check the person who is asking for loan and if he checks out.
you ask them to send the collateral to a trusted Escrow

IMHO, there are two ways to earn Bitcoins as a newbie without any risk.

1) Be active for some time on the board and then join a signature campaign when you have reached a higher ranks. At least Junior rank.
2) in the meanwhile, join get paid for programs like coinad.com, btcclicks.com or bitvisitor.com

you don't need to wait to be Hero member to start giving loans.
you can do it right now. it goes like this:

you check the person who is asking for loan and if he checks out.
you ask them to send the collateral to a trusted Escrow

Well an escrow can be used. If you try something fishy, the escrow will give the account bad rep making it pretty useless. Of course people still buy Hero account with bad rep because its so valuable. But as far as I know there is no way to regain the pass once you've given it to anyone. Even if you dont control the email, because the email in this forum is useless.

First thing is you should learn about the basics of bitcoin. Like how transactions work and how to keep your funds secure.

I started out earning Bitcoins through Faucets, and in about a month I earned only 0.01, but that was enough to get me started. I did paid to do task/click stuff and earned more, and I started out my own blog, but that doesn't earn me, just a way to spend my earned bitcoins.

I've invested in sites, especially scrypt.cc, but now its very unstable, so Im planning to withdraw everything from there once its stable and keep my bitcoins in a wallet, or invest it into BTCJam instead, much more trustworthy.
