Anyone interested in keeping this coin going? I've been thinking we need a takeover for a few weeks now and the other day proletariat hit me up with similar thoughts and some ideas like reducing the inflation.

There are a few of people keeping the network going which is good. I've been in contact with Yobit to keep their wallet online and there is still a coin request sitting with safecex https://safecex.com/coin/add

Initially we'd start a new thread, fork the code on github and start talking about code updates. Whatever myself or the community is unable to code we could outsource preferably to a someone who would accept VTX as payment. proletariat has mentioned he would be willing to donate funds for bounties, etc.

If there is any community still out there and you have some decent input please speak up and let us know your thoughts

I see you posted on the vertex forum - wondering if you had any ideas for it.
I looked for someone to dev the coin back then but I lost interest sometime in between. I figured if we kept the chain going all this time (7 months) and struggled to keep it alive at the beginning it's not worth throwing in the towel. I might get back to looking for someone to help breathe some life into it but figured I'd ask you guys who have coins first. I mean we have a perfectly working coin, an explorer, a domain and an exchange...

We could even start working on the code now and open a new ANN thread when we've got a more stable network, new wallets, website or whatever it is the community wants to do. I'm open to ideas.

The explorer is expiring in a few days guys.. The paid hosting period has expired for a long time now.. I just kept it online hoping for someone to step up and takeover...
proletariat paid for the hosting last time..

Since then my explorers have transformed enormously, which makes it cheaper for me to host explorers...

Renewels are 0.06 BTC for 6 months, and 0.1 BTC for 12 months...

If anyone is willing to renew the period, PM me, and I will update to my latest source...

There is a network page on the explorer for nodes, and also a bootstrap file in the "about" tab which gets updated every 6 hours

no, dev bailed in the first few days remember? chain is nearly two years old and moving smoothly.

Although it might be passed due, finally a couple of guys and I pooled a few satoshis for some decent code work and are also figuring out what direction to take the coin. So there's an update coming with cleaned up code and a fork to reduce the insane inflation.

This is an overdue first step, so let's take it from here and see what happens. Fork will be on the 15th so that gives us plenty of time to update.
