If you're not seeing the color on your ignore link and an approximate count for established users who ignore you than you aren't using the default theme.
If you use the default theme and you don't see a count or any color it's because only newbs ignore you, or nobody ignores you.

That's the range of possible ignores you have. It appears when you have 4+ ignores. I guess people keep adding and removing you from their ignore lists.

It's not a button, I think, just a simple text link.

It gives me a broken image for the ignore button. it's been doing that for a while. is there a code in the url that gives its status away? (EDIT: guess not)

Just figured it out - we were on the wrong theme.  Change to the forum default theme and the ignore links show up properly.

Mine used to me clear, but thanks to trying to shed light on the Bitcoinica fiasco and costing me over $20,000 USD and counting, mine keeps going back and forth between jaundice and chartreuse.

Yes you can. Unless only mods can ignore other mods which would be wacky. You can't ignore admins though.

The link does not appear. I don't have a link in the first place, and I am clearly using the default theme (I get advertisements). That's the only thing missing, and it prevents me from seeing my own colour.
