I had a few minutes of time and I made this OTC-stat-to-forum-signature thingy, but then found out we can't have images down there.

So I changed it up to work for avatars, later to find out, avatar gets uploaded to forums server even if external link is provided.

Can we has it plox?

+1

that and/or I want signature images back.
...I think that was already gone when I joined

I'd "donate" (or pay a subscription even) if such things were made available.

Allowing remote images causes too many problems. It won't be enabled again. I'll probably disable images in posts eventually, too.

I've had two ideas related to this:
- I plan to attach #bitcoin-otc ratings to users when they post in the marketplace sections.
- It would be cool to extend BBCode to allow "fetch" tags. Like [fetch=http://api.com/asdf.txt]. The server would periodically fetch asdf.txt and replace the tag with its contents. There are many complexities associated with doing this properly, so I don't know if I'll ever do it.
