This question should be asked to those who have purchased bitcoins when the price was $1000 or $500. Their answer will definitely be no as bitcoins don't have a definite price but if the price was fixed or it wasa recognized currency like USD/EURO, I would definitely use it as it would only benefit me and I would not have to worry about the future price. Currently it's like buying shares/investing in forex where there is no surity of the price.

Prices arent stable right now. It's fluctuating a lot. So it wouldn't be a wise thing to convert all my fiat currency to Bitcoins.
But assuming that the price of bitcoins are very much stable with lesser fluctuation I would actually convert most of my money to Bitcoin.
If bitcoin was then accepted anywhere i would actually use it everywhere. From restaurants to smaller shops. Just take out my smart phone and *ka-ching*

what about fees? if i can buy something for 300sat i thinks fees would be much more since min fee i saw is 10k sat..
Not sure what you plan to buy for 300 sat, but you are not required to pay a single satoshi as fee. The only downside is that you have to wait longer than usual to get your tx confirmed. The 10K satoshi is just what is recommended. No one forces you to actually use it. If you buy something from a shop you won't notice much regarding fees. Merchants got them covered. Especially when the amount is low enough, they will most likely accept it even without a single confirmation. OP; For sure! It will be amazing to pay for every day things with Bitcoin.

I'll use them if the fees is reasonable. I am ready to pay $1 as a fee, if I purchase $100 worth of goods. But what bothers me is the confirmation time. Sometimes it takes up to 30 minutes for the transaction to get confirmed, making Bitcoins useless for retail shopping. This is my main concern, and if anyone is having a solution for it, then I am ready to cancel my credit card.

I think certain aspects of bitcoin might not work like what OP said about retail shops and such, but I hope it does go mainstream as that would be pretty cool to have my bitcoin on my phone and just not need to worry about any cash or cards in my wallet.

I would definitely use it as much as I could, yes FIAT is easier but only because we are all used to it. My monthly bills would all be paid in bitcoin, my fuel bill and wages I pay out.

Currently I am paying 12.5% taxes on all my bills/goods. Paying for them in BTC would be a relief. The confirmation of transactions is an issue though.

I am curious as to why and who would use bitcoin if it was accepted everywhere.
I know it would be great for everyone who has invested into bitcoin, but if it was just as accepted as money would you still be as inclined to use it?
If you have a business that involves bitcoin or you have some sort of exchange then I can see it being a great thing for demand, but why would you use it if you could just as easily use fiat money?
Of course, i will, it's very excited if bitcoin become the payment system which everyone accepted, a lot people will understand about the technology. Yes maybe it easy to use fiat but with bitcoin, you don't need to pay more fees, taxes(several country use bitcoin taxes CMIIW), fast transaction than fiat. ~iki

We use it already and it's not accepted everywhere. Of course we would use it everywhere. You need to ask this question off the forum to see if there are people that would become Bitcoin users if it could be used like cash or card.

I would prefer to use it everywhere, but then it would require either more secure mobile wallets or something like bitsim because I don't think I would want to carry my laptop with me everywhere I go shopping.

If bitcoin is accepted everywhere, I would definitely buy use it and buy more. But I would not use it everywhere. Credit card is accepted almost everywhere and I still use cash because it's much faster and easier refund. When I have a choice of different payment methods, I would select which is the more convenient for me at that time.

Yes. My wife and I are going to Vegas next week. I am going to move a coin to my Mycellium phone app in hopes of being able to spend it, I'm sure there will be somewhere that will accept it. Take her to get a great meal at Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse at The D. They should accept bitcoin since the hotel does.

If I could pay for everything and everyone would accept it, then I will immediately quit feeding my Bank (no more fees for you bastards), give them back my credit card, exchange 90% of my money to BTC. There is no way that EVERYONE will accept it because it is impossible from the technical point of view. Not every place has access to internet. Even radio or satellite is out of the question for some places.

I would use it everywhere if I could. I believe prices would be cheaper as a result of it too. So many people willing to fraudulently charge back with other types of payment.

yeah, i would use bitcoin as payment if it is accepted everywhere. for instance if Amazon starts accepting bitcoin, i would gladly buy stuff with my bitcoins. and if i had a business , because i believe in bitcoin i surely would include bitcoin as a payment service in my business

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.
