yeah... even with the promotion of one ATM today in a SP university...

...no one needs to hide the sun... the truth is all over there...

As our friend said, there some places where BTC still 0 x 0. It hasn't change any lifestyle, people (99.99%) don't even know about it. It's very faraway from normal people salaries.

It's a very fucked up situation. For countries with political and economic difficult, BTC remains a legend, not even a dream. Reality is what it is.

Except for places like heavily crowded, introducing bitcoin wouldn't be any good either. I don't think they would adopt it just because they heard about it. It also requires lot of technical competence, which not a lot of peeople have.

I have not spent any of my Bitcoins on anything down here in Brazil yet, but I will keep an eye out for those stores.

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

I wonder if there are 150 people in Brasil who actively use Bitcoin. 150 stores are surprisingly high for that country.
I checked out Brasil board, it's very quite: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=134.0

Actually Brazilian don't bother joining the subForum, and mostly use the Portuguese forum instead. Or even don't use the native forum (many Brazilian people actually speak English and don't need such a subforum LOL).

About electricity costs, it's obviously not worth it for BTC, but for some altcoins, and considering a greater time schedule, it might be profitable to mine.

You people are lucky enough just because you are in Brazil.
Dealing in bitcoins has not been made legal here in India. In fact there are only a handful of people who are aware about the very existence of bitcoins. It will take some time for the trend to spread in other countries just as it did in Brazil.

When i read the title I thought it was centralized in 2/3 major cities, but it's really spread accros the cost.

With so many local stores accepting bitcoin, it would not suprise me they are the no 1 country in the world in terms of bitcoin adoption.

This thread is from june, so i think a lot of new shops can be added to this list.
Perhaps the amount of shops even doubled in the last 6 months.

It's really amazing how they achieved this.

It's great to see how brazil is taking the lead when we talk about adoption.
So many offline shops accepting it makes me wonder if some big marketing agency is behind this.
