I lost 35k USD in 2014, and so far have made just over that back in 2015.
The moment I realised best price trading is not my friend, and long term survivability is when the consistency started coming.
As another poster said, managing your losses is hugely important. Stop losses are your friend. Don't be afraid to take a small loss to live to trade another day.
Dollar cost averaging is dangerous when bitcoin can, and does take $50 dollar dumps randomly.
It should also go without saying, don't ever all-in.

It varies I never have a week where I consistently earn x amount, but over all each month may profit around 1-2btcs and the next down the same. I am up over all though which is the main thing up there with learning.

Ah, this is starting to sound like the Tradingview chat -- where apparently, 100% of traders make money 100% of the time. Probably even more actually, if you could believe it!  Chuck Norris makes 1 btc per second just by inhaling air. "Traders" here are close. |

Amount in bitcoin varies as price remains highly volatile, but let's say 2 to 7 bitcoin.
